Welcome to the 2024 Christmas Home tour, hosted by Cindy from Country Road 407. You’re in for a treat because today, you are invited inside a total of 16 beautiful homes decorated for Christmas in a variety of styles, including my Vintage Christmas Home Tour.

If you’ve found your way here from Lora’s Old World Style Christmas, I’m so glad you’re here! I love peeking inside other people’s homes, don’t you? Especially at Christmastime. I always get so much inspiration.
My Vintage Christmas Home Tour
I like to change up my Christmas decor from year to year. I have so much Christmas decor that I just can’t get all of it out each year.
A lot of it is sentimental from when my kids were little, and some are things passed down from my parents and grandparents. Because I have so much, I choose a different theme or style each Christmas and pick and choose things from my stash that will work.
Because we have three grandbabies this year, I decided to go with a “good old-fashioned family Christmas” theme and use a lot of my vintage Christmas decor. I decorated almost entirely with the littles in mind this year.
Living Room
Santa is definitely a repeating element in my decor this year, because of the grandkids. Evie is old enough now to understand the idea of Santa Clause. When she was here for Thanksgiving last weekend, the first thing she noticed was the giant Santa portrait on my Frame TV.
She let out a cute little shriek, pointed at Santa, and made the sign for “Ho, Ho, Ho”. My heart melted because it was just so sweet.

This old vintage Santa is one of my most precious pieces of Christmas decor. When I was a kid, we’d always visit my grandparents on the farm for Christmas Eve. They had him sitting next to their tree and would say, “Let’s go see what ‘Santy’ brought you.” I love having him next to my tree now.

“Santy” sits in a vintage rocking chair that I got for my first birthday many years ago. Next to him is a basket filled with vintage Christmas books that I’ve collected over the years.

I decorated my tree this year with a mixture of true vintage ornaments and reproduction Shiny Brites by Christopher Radko.

The fireplace mantel feels so cozy this year. In addition to the garland lights, I mixed in an abundance of my flameless taper candles in vintage candle sticks that I’ve collected over time.

We added two more quilted Pottery Barn stockings to the mantel this year in addition to Evie’s for our two newest grandbabies. I placed their photos above their stockings in vintage-inspired frames.

On one side of the mantel, I have my Quick Vintage Oil Lamp Upcycle. It looks perfect beside my antique clock family heirloom. On the wall is another Santa in an oval antique frame (this is an easy DIY project that I will share with you soon). The vintage glass candelabra was a flea market find this past summer.

On the opposite side of the mantel sits the matching candelabra from the pair, along with a few more vintage pieces. Not only does the candelabra hold flameless candles, but I also have these tucked in the back of the bookcase to add some flickering light behind the photos and mini Santas.

Now, for the sake of keeping things real, I share the next photo with you. Sometimes my home looks “picture perfect”, and sometimes it looks like this.

Santy has been evicted from his chair, toys, and books all over the floor, and Bluey is on the TV instead of a lovely portrait. I’d much rather have it like this. This is how the memories are made. ❤️ Tidy homes are overrated, don’t you think?
Entryway
The entryway displays a vintage Christmas card holder that my mom used when we were growing up. Next to it is this vintage card display that I made a couple of years ago.

This old Santa that I bought when my kids were young stands watch next to the front door. His beard has been ruffled by two generations of kids now.
Santa’s lighted reindeer are visible through the window above the stairs.
Kitchen & Dining Area
The vintage Pottery Barn dresser that I fixed up works nicely as a sofa table and displays a snowglobe lantern with Santa inside.

Displayed on an antique tray, it looks like a winter wonderland to tiny eyes.

The tiny toy kitchen I spray painted to look similar to “Gigi’s kitchen” sits in my kitchen so the babies can “cook” right along with me.

I’ve used these same wreaths for the last few years and just change out the ribbon to work with my theme. This year they have Santas on them, of course. They look so cute with my vintage baking display above the cabinets.

The antique corner cabinet in my dining area I removed from my parents’ house after they passed. I have it filled with a mixture of new and old Santa mugs for Christmas.

The vintage salt & pepper shakers on top were my grandmother’s.

A poinsettia on the dining table, and a simple little centerpiece on the island add festive touches to the kitchen.

Screened Porch
Last, but not least on my vintage Christmas home tour…
The screen porch gets gorgeous winter sunsets. With the fireplace and space heater, we can get it pretty warm out there, so we added a little tree for some holiday cheer.

I love the holiday season. It really is the most wonderful time of the year, and now that we have grandbabies to enjoy it with, it feels even more special.
Next, I hope you’ll hop over to visit Debra’s beautiful home all dressed for Christmas.
