Easy Guacamole (with optional Pistachios)

This is my favorite go-to easy guac recipe! If you want to add a little something special, try it with the addition of chopped pistachio nuts!

  • 2 ripe avocados mashed
  • 1 small tomato chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1/3 cup pistachio nuts roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • salt & peper to taste


  • Peel and mash avocados in a medium serving bowl. Stir in onion powder, garlic, tomato, lime juice, cilantro, salt and pepper. (Go easy on salt if you intend to use salted pistachios).
  • Stir in finely chopped pistachios right before serving. They give the guacamole a great texture and nuttiness that we love, but you can leave them out.
  • Garnish with a wedge of lime, additional chopped cilantro and a sprinkle of pistachios.
