Easy Beer Bread

This recipe is great when you want hot and fresh bread for dinner in a hurry! No yeast required and no time spent waiting for bread to rise!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups flour sifted
  • 3 tsps baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 TBSP sugar
  • 1 (12 ounce) can of beer
  • 4 TBSP butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • Spray a loaf pan with cooking spray.
  • Sift flour, sugar, and baking powder together in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  • Slowly pour in the beer and stir until foaming subsides and flour is incorporated.
  • Spoon into prepared pan and bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • While bread is still hot, pour melted butter over the top. Remove from pan as soon as bread is cool enough to handle.
  • Serve bread warm, generously smeared with more butter. 😊

Notes

Sifting the flour is very important in this recipe.  If the flour is not fluffy, you will end up with a hard brick, since this bread does not require time to rise.  
If you don't have a flour sifter, use a hand whisk or even a fork to fluff the flour so it is not overly compacted.
