Sift flour, sugar, and baking powder together in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
Slowly pour in the beer and stir until foaming subsides and flour is incorporated.
Spoon into prepared pan and bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
While bread is still hot, pour melted butter over the top. Remove from pan as soon as bread is cool enough to handle.
Serve bread warm, generously smeared with more butter. 😊
Notes
Sifting the flour is very important in this recipe. If the flour is not fluffy, you will end up with a hard brick, since this bread does not require time to rise. If you don't have a flour sifter, use a hand whisk or even a fork to fluff the flour so it is not overly compacted.
