My mother-in-law gave me this old Christmas tray and told me to give it a makeover.

Okay then, mission accepted! I love a good upycle! Do you even recognize it?!

Let me show you how I did it!  I started by removing the paper design with some water and a putty knife.

A little bit of sanding, and it was ready for paint.

A couple of coats of Dixie Belle's chalk mineral paint in the color "Drop Cloth", and it was time for stencils.

I used this gorgeous nail head trim stencil to add a fun vintage-inspired pattern to the tray.

Amber Gemstone Mousse was the perfect choice to add some extra pizzaz to this vintage-inspired DIY serving tray.

l love how easy stenicls are to use-- just apply with a foam brush to dab the mousse gently on the stencil. This stencil adds a lot of impact for little effort.

Next, I selected three different watch transfers from the Hot Air Balloons and Watches transfer package and cut them out.

After I had the watch transfer pieces arranged how I wanted, I gently rubbed using the stick that was included in the package.

It’s just that easy! I applied all three watch transfers and I was done!

With just a few supplies, I was able to give this tray a whole new look.  Much better, don't you think?

This Upcycled Serving Tray was a fun project to make, and it gives me the perfect way to display these sentimental watches that I inherited

Can you even tell which are real, and which are the trasnfers?
