Sundays on Silverado #95

Life Lately

You guys, I have all the feels right now.

Not only did we celebrate Baby Evie’s baptism last Sunday, but just a couple of days later, we celebrated her half-birthday. I can’t believe our little miracle is 6 months old already!

Evelynn Irene’s Baptism

Isn’t she precious? She wore the same dress her mama got baptized in 27 years prior. ❤️

She was such a good girl through the whole service. She listened, watched, and really seemed like she was just taking it all in.

As she held my hand, I couldn’t help but think about what a blessing she is. Just 6 months ago, we weren’t sure what her future held. 💔

Half Birthday!

But look at her now!

She’s hitting new milestones and learning new things each and every day.

She works so hard at physical therapy, and she has the best mama and daddy who are devoted to making sure she has everything she needs to keep making the best possible progress.

We love this girl so, so much!

You only have to look at these two pictures, taken 6 months apart, to know what a true miracle she is.

I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. -Psalms 9:1

In Case You Missed It…

Baby Evie is a hard act to follow, but Pinterest Challenge week is kind of cool, too!

You won’t want to miss THIS POST filled with a dozen different red, white & blue decor ideas from several talented home designers.

The Weekly Features!

Summer is (almost) officially here!

I was released back to work last week for partial days, so I could at least meet with my kids one more time, finished their schedules for next year, and make sure all my end-of-the-year stuff was taken care of.

I have just two more teacher workdays, and then I’m truly on vacation.

Summer vacation calls for delicious drinks to beat the heat, right? Some of these are adult-only, and some are for the whole family to enjoy, but they all look delicious!

I hope you all have plenty of time this summer to set yourself up with one of these fabulous cool drinks, a good book or magazine, and some time to relax.

Happy Summer!

  1. So happy to hear little Evie is achieving so many milestones, she’s quite the trooper and so darn adorable! I hope you’re enjoying the Memorial Day long weekend.

  2. I can’t believe that your precious girl is already six months old. She is a beauty. Thank you so much for the feature. I sure appreciate you. Hugs and blessings to you.

  3. Oh, my goodness! Evie is getting so big! She looks so healthy and happy now. I can tell how much you’re soaking up all the family time and I hope your last few days of school go quickly!

  4. Thank you for hosting the party! I am so glad Evie is doing so well and looks so happy. I can empathize as our oldest was born 10 weeks premature and all the live saving techniques, care, and prayer that goes with it. Now he is raising a family of his own.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend.

  5. She’s so adorable and what an amazing blessing. Love those little sockie feet with ruffles! So glad you were feeling up to getting back to work for a bit. Take care and have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
