Sundays on Silverado #92

Wishing you all a Happy Mother’s Day!

I’m blessed to get to spend time this weekend with my kids. We celebrated “Kentucky Derby Style” yesterday with my daughter, son-in-law, and Baby Evie, and today my sweet husband is making dinner for me and my MIL, and my son will also be able to join us.

Here’s my favorite baby in her “I love my Gigi” shirt yesterday. ❤️

Life Lately

Lucky #9. Nine is both my husband’s and my lucky number and it certainly proved true this week. Friday marked 9 days post-op and the first day I felt like I could see a light at the end of the tunnel. Sunny skies from here forward I’m hoping. 🙏🏻

Thank goodness my sweet kids have helped keep me entertained with funny texts, adorable pics, and some FaceTiming…

Kind friends, family, and neighbors have helped out with food deliveries and flowers…

And my amazing husband has shouldered the burden of keeping life running around here since I’m basically worthless right now. He is a true blessing. ❤️

    1. We eat our fair share of corn on the cob here in Iowa, too. I’m going to try your method when “corn season” begins. It may be a bit late this year, because we’ve had such wet and cold weather the crops are late going in. 🙁
