Life Lately
You know the jokes people make about hospital food?

This week I learned that the jokes are pretty accurate. 😖
Thankfully, I’m home from the hospital now and on the mend, although I am the “proud” new owner of a leg brace, a neck brace, and a couple of titanium screws and plates.
It may be a while yet before I can get back to all the projects I have on my “to do” list, so this will be a hard lesson for me in patience, self-care, and slowing down.
We shall see how long I can stand it. 😜
In Case You Missed It…
I did manage to finish this project that I began over Spring Break and get it posted. I am so happy with how it turned out, and it’s a much better fit for my home now. You can see the whole project from start to finish HERE.

The Weekly Features!
Since I won’t be working on any of my own furniture makeovers and upcycle projects for a while, I will have to live vicariously through all of you creative people.
There were some beautiful projects linked up this week. I hope you’ll take a minute to check them all out.

- Dining Room Table Update | Cloches and Lavender
- Antique Fold Down Table Makeover | Creative Moments
- Potting Table Makeover | White Lilac Farmhouse
- Cutting Board Makeover | Southern Sunflowers
- Nature’s Wild Victorian Wreath | Common Ground
All features have been pinned to the Sundays on Silverado Pinterest Board!
Time to link up again!

PS. Mother’s day is one week from TODAY. If you still need some gift ideas for Mom, most of the items linked in my gift guides can be delivered in just a few days.
There’s still time, but hurry!

What happened! Happy you are on the mend! xo laura
Well, to make a long story short, I got knocked down at school by some kids who were just rough-housing. Nothing malicious, but it caused the C5-C6 vertebrae in my neck to pinch my spinal cord, requiring surgery to realign and fuse them together with pins and a bracket.
Love all the features you chose this week, Niky! I’ve been a caregiver for someone in a very similar situation so please don’t rush your recovery. Healing takes time and your body needs rest to heal. Big hugs and thank you for hosting, CoCo
