Sundays on Silverado #88

Life Lately

You guys, do you want to see something that will melt your heart?

This precious girl has been working so hard with her therapist and her mama and daddy on exercises to strengthen her cheek muscles and improve her swallowing.

This week she got to try a few bites of very thinned-down baby food… aka breast milk and avocado mash. 😜

Look at that face! She looks so very proud of herself, doesn’t she?

She is still not gaining weight as fast as the doctors would like though, so we continue to pray that she keeps making progress with her eating.

And if you want to follow Evelynn’s story more closely, I invite you follow @everydaywithevelynn where my daughter shares more about her progress.

Spring is Coming… hopefully.

Mother Nature is teasing us.

Here in Iowa, we’ve been getting one nice day, followed by a string of windy, rainy, and even snowy days. Boo.

But, we did have one lovely evening that was nice enough for the first “Happy Hour at Home” of this season. Many, many more to come soon, I hope.

I also got all of my garden seats started indoors.

I planted them in a seed starting tray like THIS one, and currently have them in the three-season porch that functions as a greenhouse of sorts.

Because of the chilly weather we are still having, I purchased this inexpensive seed warming mat to place under it, and it’s working quite well.

In Case You Missed It…

I love to see what other people are buying on Amazon. I almost always find a thing or two that I “need”. You can see this month’s Prime Purchases round-up here.
