Life Lately
Blogging has been put on the back burner for now, as our family is still rallying around our sweet Evie girl, as well as my daughter and son-in-law.
So many of you have sent messages asking for updates, sending prayers, and asking me how you can help. I apologize if I have not responded directly to your sweet comments and direct messages, but I appreciate them more than I can express.
I’ll do my best to keep Sundays on Silverado going, because I know so many of you love to visit here each week, but other posts will likely be sporadic.
Also, I will try to use this space for updates on Baby Evie, because it’s easier than answering so many individual direct messages, but please don’t think I don’t appreciate your concern–we truly do.
Sweet little Evenlynn had surgery on her brain yesterday to place a shunt, and thank the Lord, all went as planned. Today, she is resting and snuggling with her mom and dad.
At only 3 weeks old, this little fighter has already shown the world how strong she is.
Unfortunately, there will be other fights ahead for this precious baby, so a friend of the family has set up a Go Fund Me page to support Evie on her journey. I invite you to go there and see Evie’s full story.
She is already loved beyond measure.
Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
In Case You Missed It…
I always like to leave out little baskets of treats for our hard-working delivery drivers, especially during the holidays. You can see this year’s version HERE, and the one from last year HERE.
The Weekly Features!

I love getting a glimpse into other people’s homes, especially at Christmas, don’t you?
This year, since we didn’t get our Christmas decorations up because of my tiny granddaughter being in the NICU, I have especially enjoyed all of the Christmas decor you shared at the link party.
So on this last link party before Christmas, please join me as we tour some of these beautiful homes decorated for the season…

Clockwise from the top left corner:
- A Classic & Cozy Christmas Home Tour | Calypso in the Country
- Christmas in the Morning Room | Thrifting in Wonderland
- It’s a Merry Little Christmas in the Kitchen | Common Ground

- Christmas 2021 Kitchen Tour| Penny’s Vintage Home
- Christmas Village Display Cabinet | Restlye Relove
- Christmas in the Living Room | A Day of Small Things
- Chrismtas Kitchen Beverage Bar | A Debbie-Dabble Christmas
And since I don’t have a Christmas Home Tour of my own this year, here are a few of my favorite Christmas posts from years gone by…
All features have been pinned to the Sundays on Silverado Pinterest Board!

Prayers for your sweet baby girl…. and best wishes for a bountiful, happy & healthy new year. Since I sell baked goods on eBay, and will often have many boxes for our postman to pick up (12 yesterday), I leave baggies of cookies as a thank for the postman too (and an apology / thank you note, when it’s an excessive amount like yesterday!)
