Sundays on Silverado #7

The Weekly Recap:

We’ve finished 3 weeks of school now, but this was our first full 5-day week of teaching, and wow, I am feeling it. The first 3 weeks we had only 3 or 4 days because of teacher work days and Labor Day.

These were my thoughts exactly by Wednesday:

Coffee to the Rescue!

Caffeine has been my jet-fuel this week. I always crave that first cup the minute my feet hit the floor in the morning, but lately, I’ve needed another round in the form of iced coffeee to propel me through what I need to get done at home in the afternoon/evening.

I added this Good & Gather Pumpkin Spice Coffee Syrup to a Target delivery early in the week, and it’s been my best friend since. I can now make my own Pumpkin Spiced Iced Coffee by using my favorite Starbucks Dark Roast (gotta be the DARK), a little Italian Sweet Cream CoffeeMate, and some pumpkin spice syrup. It’s so easy to make at home and almost just as good as going through the Starbuck’s drive through. You’re welcome.

Working on my Front Porch

The weather this week has been glorious, so I’ve enjoyed spending time outside preserving my pumpkins, and working on my front porch. I’m hoping to show you my entire Fall Front Porch in the next few days.

Hello Fresh

Hello Fresh is still serving as our dinner life line until things settle down around here. Having the ingredients for three meals per week delivered right to our door has been helpful. Plus, an added bonus is that it’s giving us lots of inspiration and ideas for recipes to create on our own later, when life isn’t so chaotic. We have not had one a meal we didn’t like. In fact, most have been total homeruns!

BBQ Cheddar Pork Burgers
with Chipotle Aioli & Potato Wedges

Popular Post!

This simple recipe for Dutch Letter Bars got some traction this week, and ended up being the most viewed, shared and pinned recipe on my blog ever. Maybe because it’s only 5 ingredients and turns into a thick, chewy, almondy miracle?

Barn Town Brewing

Barn Town has turned into a fun “hobby” lately, if you consider beer a hobby. I say yes.

Our son’s girlfriend works there, and always hooks us up with their newest releases, which usually sell out within a couple of days.

This week we sampled one of their Smoothie Beers. I know, it sounds weird, but it was so good!

My favorite is still Vanilla Milkshake, and I’m waiting for it to come back again, but in the meantime, the Raspberry Smoothie Beer, and the Blackberry Cobbler have been close runners-up.

The only real miss so far has been Dill Pickle. Uhg. 🤢

Inspire Me Bracelets

I’m still wearing my Inspire Me Bracelet every day, and love it so much! Since I first shared about it a few weeks ago, several people have written to me to tell me they ordered their own. I love how there are so many verses and quotes that hold meaning for different people, no matter what circumstances you’re facing right now. ❤️

This is the one I have.
The one I got for my daughter.

If you want your own amazing bracelet, visit Inspire Me Bracelets and use my code SILVERADO to get 20% off! There are so many great options, I think I’ll be adding more to my collection. And with the holidays not far away, these make beautiful gifts.

Again, there were so many great features shared at the link party! Here are just some of my favorites…

I always enjoy seeing the projects other people make, because it gives me great inspiration. This is so cute, plus saying you DIY’d makes it even better. 😃
