Sundays on Silverado #67

Life Lately

Baby shower #2 is in the books now. We traveled to the Iowa City area for an adorable shower hosted by my daughter’s mother-in-law this time.

My son-in-law owns his own construction company, so his mom used a “pink construction” theme for the shower and it was perfection!

The shower was held in a historic town hall building, which just added to the charm.

After the shower, we spent the afternoon at the in-laws’ house, and then all went out to dinner. It was such a good day.

Because the shower was so close to where the youngest kid goes to college, we got a hotel room for the night, so we could catch up with him, too.

We were treated to some beautiful, Iowa fall weather (some of the last I think), so we had breakfast on the outdoor patio of a little local diner, took the kid shopping to stock up on more college essentials, and still had time to stop at a local antique store before heading home.

It was a good, good weekend.

In Case You Missed It…

I shared the whole process of transforming this antique bookcase into a pretty pink beauty fit for a princess. You can read all about it HERE.
