Sundays on Silverado #35

Sundays on Silverado #35 is coming to you a day early this week, because tomorrow is the next monthly installment of the DIY Blog Hop. This month’s theme is a furniture DIY, so I hope you’ll check back tomorrow to see all the talented creations and makeovers.

Sneak Peek:

Life Lately

It’s been a busy week just getting stuff done around here lately. With spring break over, we are headed into the last, busy couple of months of the hardest school year I’ve ever taught. It’s taking everything I’ve got to keep chugging along. On top of that, I finally finished another graduate class and turned in my final project, so I can renew my teaching license, possibly for the last time? 😬

Thankfully, it’s also that time of year when we can start getting outside again. The fresh air and sunsets have been my lifeline. Oh, and I baked some cookies, because chocolate is a good coping strategy too, right? 🤣 Watch for this recipe on the blog, soon. 🍪

In Case You Missed It…

Three new posts went up on the blog this week… Easter and Spring cleaning have been a theme in my life and hence on the blog lately. This time of year makes me want to purge and polish. Anyone else?

The Sundays on Silverado Weekly Features!

Neutral Farmhouse Easter Table Setting | Restyle Relove

This neutral farmhouse Easter table from Julie is right up my alley. I love everything about it! Pop over to her blog and check out her Australian farmhouse! It’s all so cute!

Spring Home Tour | Virginia Sweet Pea

Paula’s whole home is a perfect example of how to mix old with new. Her vintage style is spot on.

Easter Decorations for the Kitchen Sideboard | Dining Delight

There are so many adorable details to see on Lori’s Easter sideboard that my eyes didn’t know where to look first!

Fluffy Butter Lamb | The Little Yellow Corner Store

If I knew where to find a lamb butter mold, one of these fluffy little lambs would be on my Easter table this year! I’ll be on the look-out for one, so I can try this next year…🐑

Decorative Plate with Quote | Sum of Their Stories

And I will leave you with this last bonus feature, because when I saw it, I literally laughed out loud. 😂 This is a motto we all need to repeat to ourselves, right? Thanks for making me giggle, Julie!

All features have been pinned to the Sundays on Silverado Pinterest Board.💕

Oh, and before we get on with the party, I do have a question for my blogger friends. Is anyone going to Haven this summer? I haven’t been before and am on the fence. I’d love to hear your feedback. ❤️

I’d be so grateful if you’d support The House on Silverado by subscribing via email in the box on this page.

  1. So many fun links to dive into this week, Niky! I love all the features you chose. Thanks so much for hosting. I hope your week is a special one, CoCo

  2. Thank you so much for featuring my spring home tour this week. I didn’t realize that you are a teacher. I’m retired due to my cancer and I’ve thought so much about my teacher friends and how hard this year has been. I hope the last two months of school are good ones for you.

    1. I’m sad to hear you had to retire due to your health, but glad you’re not in a classroom dealing with this chaos as well right now. It really is a hard time to be a teacher. Thanks so much for your kind words, and thanks for sharing your creativity with us!

  3. Thanks for hosting this Niky! I’ve been enjoying checking out other posts and commenting. I also went back to my original post and put a link to this link party as a thank you and so even more people will join next time.

  4. Oh I just can not wait for our spring break next week. It has felt like the longest school year ever and even as a parent (and not a teacher!) I feel so burned out. I have never been happier to not be using my teaching degree. I honestly don’t know how you are all doing such a fabulous job keeping these kids going.

  5. Another great collection of ideas and inspiration Niky! Those cookies look fabulous – I can’t wait for the recipe! In the meantime, I’ll swoon over your vintage china. SO gorgeous! Happy Easter and thanks so much for hosting!

  6. I am so honoured that you featured my Easter Sideboard Decor! Thank you very much for that and for hosting this terrific weekly gathering of wonderful inspo! Happy Easter Niky!
