Life Lately

First, thank you so much to all of you who offered words of advice and care for Mark’s knee replacement. They were so helpful, and I shared them all with him!
He’s actually getting along pretty well. He’s managing the pain pretty well, sleeping decently, and making sure to keep up with his exercises. He was pretty sore after PT yesterday, but that’s to be expected, I suppose.
Thankfully, the endless rain is finally gone, and he’s been able to enjoy some time on the porch taking in the sunshine, which makes a big difference.

Isn’t this the cutest little cowboy you’ve ever seen?
Hayden started preschool this year, and Friday was “Western Day”. Just like Evie a couple of years ago, it was his turn to wear the little red cowboy hat that my grandfather bought for their mama when she was tiny.
Thirty years later, Hayden and Evie both got to wear a hat gifted by their 2x great-grandfather. I’m so glad I hung onto it all these years.

Thank you so much for featuring our plums :) You absolutely made my day! As a new beekeeper, I’m kind of emotional about this recipe, especially since it was made with honey from our bees. Wishing you a beautiful Sunday and a lovely week ahead!
