Life Lately
Penny Puppy got groomed this week. We have loved the groomer we’ve been using for the past year, but at our last appointment, she told me she was leaving to start her own business. Unfortunately, her new place was about a 45-minute drive away, so we had to try someone new this time.
Penny Puppy left looking like a plump little bear cub and came home looking like half the dog she used to be. 🤣 Very un-doodley.
She still looks adorable, but it did take me a few days to get used to seeing her like this!
In other news, we’re giving our back deck some upgrades. This is the current state of things…
And of course, we have extreme heat warnings this week, so the work is slow-going. Hopefully, I’ll have some better pics to show you soon.

I love Penny’s new haircut! I have two doodles and it always takes me a day or two to get used to their short hair!

Your puppy is adorable and I love the view from your deck!
We drive 1 hour each way to our groomer, the summer is longer due to Oregon tourist season on the coast. She had worked at the local pet store then transferred to another one. About 7 years ago she opened her own shop. She is the only one we trust with our two Persians 13,15 yrs. She has been their groomer over 10 years now. My daughter in Virginia did the same when her groomer went solo, about 6 years ago.
