Life Lately
The first level of the house is cleared of Christmas decor now, but the basement is still a disaster as we continue our quest to organize our storage room and purge, purge, purge.

For years now, we’ve been saying we are going to have our old 8 mm video tables from our kids were little digitezed and it’s always been put on the back burner. While cleaning and organizing, we dug them all out and finally got them boxed off and mailed off to a company.
Once they get back, if I’m pleased with the quality and company, I’ll share it with you in case you’ve been meaning to do the same thing! :-)
We had a great time last weekend at Hayden’s rescheduled birthday party! Isn’t the cutest 2-year-old?

Hayden loved the Fisher-Price Little People Construction Tower that we got him!

Pardon little man in his undies in a lot of the photos, as he’s decided on his own he’s ready to potty train!
We also got him the Blue’s Clues mail box. Can you believe that’s made a comeback!
Our boy is also obsessed with garbage trucks, so this sweatshirt seemed like a perfect fit! :-)

In Case You Missed It…
I finally got all my Christmas decor packed away from the main level of our home, although it’s still sitting in the basement as the sorting, purging, and organizing continues.
Since the main living areas are clean and tidy now, I was able to get out a little bit of Valentine’s Day decor. My mom’s childhood valentines that I framed are my very favorite.
If you’re looking for ideas to create a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner at home, be sure to check out this post.

They’re so precious! Thanks for hosting!

Happy New Year! Happy Birthday to Hayden! Since we live in a Wildfire Interface Area, meaning wildfire is always a risk, we had all our home movies digitalized and made copies for our children plus uploaded to a cloud storage. We also digitalized all our old pre-digital photos and uploaded them to a cloud. It made me feel better to know these memories would not be lost in a wildfire!
Pat, yes, that’s always been a worry of mine. I kept some in a fireproof box, but it will make me feel better to be able to have multiple copies to keep them safe always. :-)
Thank you for hosting this week and a Happy Belated Birthday to Hayden!
Good morning, Niky, purging never fun, but so worthwhile once done. Happy new year, and thank you for this linkup.

Happy Sunday! Thanks so much for hosting this weekly linky. I hope your next week is a good one. God Bless.
Happy birthday to the brand new 2 year old! The rescheduled party looks like it was a hit (and big sister looks like she enjoys the construction tower as much as the birthday boy does)! I’ll look forward to your review of the VCR transfer project… that’s another thing on our “to do” list, as well! Thanks for the party!
Two is such a great age and it looks like the party was a great success. I’ve been purging as well and it is definitely a complicated process. Good luck with it and happy New Year!
