Life Lately
Current state of mind:

We’ve had not quite as much snow to report in Iowa this week for a change. But, instead we now have arctic cold temperatures to contend with. And by “arctic cold”, let me share with you the details:

Yes, you are reading that correctly. Today’s “high” was a lovely -6 degrees, with it only getting worse over the next couple of ways.
So what have I been up to? Not leaving my house anymore than required…
We are having a quiet Valentine’s Dinner for Two at home tonight.

This cold weather has me ready to bring out alllllll the fresh spring decor, and at least make the inside of my house feel like I’m living someplace pleasant.
In case you missed it, yesterday’s post was about Spring Decor Ideas to Brigthen Up Your Home.

You guys did not disappoint this week! I can’t wait to see all the spring ideas start to roll in. I need some spring vibes to survive this brutal Iowa cold this week, so let’s see what you’ve got!

Niky – thank you so much for featuring my red tulip tablescape! That’s so sweet of you! I love all the pink and the Valentines – even after the day itself is over! We’ve been out of power like so many others, but it came back today and it’s wonderful to catch up on what everybody’s up to! Brrrrrrrr – you stay warm over there, and thanks again for hosting and featuring!
Oh you are so welcome, Barbara. I’ve been so worried about you all in placed where heat and water even have been lost. Glad your power came back. You poor things!
Hopefully, it warms up for you. That is way too cold. Stay safe and warm.
So many beautiful links to dive into, Niky! Love the features you chose and I hope your Valentine’s celebration was a happy one. I seriously can’t even imagine being that cold. The minute it gets below 70 in Florida I’m hunting for my cardigan. Thanks so much for hosting. Hope you guys stay safe, warm, and cozy. Hugs, CoCo
Lord have mercy that’s cold! Here we’ve had -6 degrees centigrade and I thought THAT was cold! Wrap up, stay in, try to keep warm and fingers crossed spring will be making things more pleasant soon.
Happy Valentine’s Day! Thanks for hosting. Stay warm and cozy!
ouch, we’re super cold here in southern Missouri too. Below zero and single digits. It’s hard to hear the furnace run 24/7. Snowing most of the day but not a lot of accumulation. I’m just grateful there’s no ice! Love your Valentine’s Day silver tray with candles and hearts! stay warm!!
I can’t believe how much beautiful inspiration there is for Valentine’s Day. I’m actually going to miss the holiday. Thank you for hosting this fabulous party Niky!
Oh Niki, those temps are unbelievable! In Alabama we’re bracing for the winter storm hitting tonight and tomorrow, our town will shut down…I can’t handle winter well at all! Thanks for the party fun and have a lovely Valentine dinner~
Thanks so much for hosting! I’m linking up with MY AMAZON SHOPPING FOR 2-8-2021. I’m also hosting some link parties, won’t you drop by?
Oh my goodness, that’s some serious cold. We are supposed to get 4-8+ inches of snow tomorrow here in Tennessee, which is VERY unusual for this region. The whole city will probably be shut down for an entire week. Ha! Thanks so much for hosting, and I hope it thaws out for you soon!
That’s a lot of snow for TN! This weather pattern is nuts! I can imagine it will be hard to deal with for a state that isn’t used to that kind of snow, nor do you probably have the heavy equipment that we do for clearning it, right? Oh my, best wishes for you all!
Nicky, it’s even reaching into Texas! We are definitely not used to these weather conditions. Supposed to be 3 degrees tomorrow! I feel for you! Can’t imagine subzero temps. Stay warm and cozy indoors. Be safe.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
WOW, 3 degrees in TEXAS is crazy! Especially for y’all you aren’t used to this! Take care and stay warm.
Happy Valentine Day and thanks so much for the party!
Miz Helen
Thank you so much for featuring my STRAWBERRY KISS COCKTAIL! … and thank you for starting out the week with such a great linky party!
We’ve in the deep freeze here too for over a week with temperatures in the -30s C (-20s F) and dangerously cold. I’m wearing layers INSIDE the house. Thank you so much for the paper valentine garland feature, Niky! Stay warm and Happy Valentine’s Day. xo
Ohhh, that’s cold! Stay warm with your Valentine!
Being featured is a lovely Valentine’s day surprise!
Thank you, Niky.

Niky,
So many fun features this week!
Love the pics this week. Happy Valentine’s Day.
It’s been cold here as well, and even the dog acts as if he’d rather stay inside!
