Life Lately
It’s been a busy, but wonderful week on Silverado.
The beginning of the week was hot, but my husband had already planned a few vacation days, so rather than waste them, we went ahead and camped.
We had a campsite by the lake, with plenty of mature trees, so with the breeze across the water and the shade, it was surprisingly pretty comfortable. By evening, I was ready to go inside the RV to sleep with the A/C on, but for most of the day, it was nice to spend so much time outside.
Why does food taste so much better when cooked and eaten outside?
On Friday, some dear friends were in town for an overnight visit. The weather has cooled down significantly, so we had dinner in the screened porch and spent hours reminiscing, but also talking about our planned group vacation to Europe. We’ve been booking some of our tours and getting so excited!
They were the perfect group to test out a new recipe for Peaches & Cream Pie. It was a hit, so watch for that recipe on the blog soon!
Finally, my daughter sent me a series of pics of sweet Evie posing in her pretty dress. She titled it “Little Miss Sun-Kissed Princess”, which seems perfectly fitting, don’t you think? ☀️💕

My Little Lime Hydrangeas are looking gorgeous right now! It won’t be long before they begin turning pink, which is the perfect time to cut them for fresh indoor arrangements, and also to dry them for use well into the fall.
