Sundays on Silverado #205

The Lily Pad

Life Lately

I loooove summer. It’s my favorite. I used to think it was mostly because I was a teacher, and it was bliss to have the time off work, but now that I’m retired, summer is still my favorite. It’s a combination of things: the weather, time outside, more daylight, more opportunity to travel, bike, grill, garden, go to the zoo, the pool, go barefoot….

What about you, do you love summer?

Speaking of more time to enjoy the outdoors, we are just returning today from spending a few days on a beautiful vintage houseboat. I hope to have some pics and details to share with you by next Sunday.

  1. Yes…retired school librarian here – loved summer then, but love it now knowing it won’t end in early August when we have to get ready for school! Enjoy your summer!

  2. I am more of a fall person. I do love going different baseball games in the summer and like being off work. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

  3. I like summer, but Fall is my favorite season! It has always been my favorite season since childhood as we always lived in areas that turned beautiful autumn colors in fall. I also dislike heat and humidity so the cooler temperatures are a bonus,

  4. My favorite thing about summer are the flowers. I’ve been working 3 years (since we moved here) to transition the beds from non- flowering bushes to perennials. My hard work is starting to pay off.

  5. Good Morning I am a fall person love the colors of falls the crisp smell of fall early Mornings. Punkins leaves 🍃 sweaters walks in the woods baking
All things fall going home to the mountains ….
