Life Lately
Baby Hayden was baptized this past weekend, on a family vacation to the lake.

We had a great time celebrating with the family and stayed a few days extra to enjoy some early-morning lakeside walks, afternoon cocktails, and beautiful sunsets in the evening.

In Case You Missed It…
My newest project, this cute little play kitchen makeover, went live on the blog Thursday. I bought it at a thrift sale for $15 and fixed it up with nothing but a few cans of spray paint. It’s perfect for the play area at our house for when the grandbabies visit.
We’re hosting the July 4th party this year, and my son-in-law requested a repeat of the “Bomb Pop Bar” from a couple of years ago. Not only do I have the Bomb Pops ready to go, but I’m adding some watermelon Jonny Pops this year, too! It can be made non-alcoholic for the kids, and adults can add a shot of vodka, rum, or tequila if they want. Perfect crowd pleaser.

Seeing Hayden’s untuck shirt reminded me of on son’s inability to ever keep his shirt tucked in whem he was a little guy. The chaplain even asked us one Sunday if he could! Now he is 40 and wear fancy dress shirts both tucked and untucked. Hayden is such a cute little guy.
Haha, I noticed the shirt too, but we were lucky just to get him to hold still long enough for the photo! :-)
Niky, Thanks so much for hosting your great link party each week. I love to visit and check out your posts as well as the other ideas. You little kitchen makeover is adorable! You did a beautiful job! and I’m guessing Hayden and Evie will enjoy “preparing” many meals there! The celebration for Hayden’s Baptism sounded so special too! Have a great 4th!!! – Patty
