Happy Father’s Day!
My dad has been gone more than 4 years now, but I still miss him (and my mom) every single day. We will be celebrating my husband today, but I will also be thinking of Dad, and remembering all the fun, kind, and crazy things he did. He was truly one of the best.

Life Lately
The kids came to visit again this past weekend. I usually get up early with Evie, so the others can sleep in a bit. I love this quiet time with her.
We enjoyed a little artistic expression with breakfast. (This Bob Ross Paint with Water book is fun!)

Stirred up some snack mix…

And enjoyed a little relaxation on the porch, all before anyone else got up.

Once the others were up, we headed off for some fun at the park and splash pad.

It was a good morning, and we completely wore the kids out.

The Garden
My garden is looking good this year, so far.
The squash and zucchini always give me problems though. I get lots of squash, and then they wrinkle up and fall off the vine while still tiny. Are any master gardeners out there with tips? I’d appreciate it!

I had the same issue with butternut squash a few years ago. You need to add some garden lime around the base of your plants.
Thanks, Melinda. These plants seem pretty finicky!
Great party!! Thanks for hosting. Have wonderful week!
Your raised garden beds are so inviting, Niky – what a beautiful spot!
I also find that the quiet moments before everyone else wakes up is a cherished time with my granddaughter, Lucy! We bake and read and snuggle and its the best! Yesterday I found myself wishing that my dad was still here. He loved being a papa and I know he would have loved his great-grandbabies, too! Wishing you a great week ahead!
Oh, I know exactly how you feel, Laura. I know my mom and dad both would have had such pride and joy in these beautiful babies. They never got to see any of their great grandchildren. :-(
Our grand littles grow so fast! Thank you for hosting, I think each blogger that shares here appreciate it, I know I do! Have a great week ahead, take care.
Thanks so much, Melynda! I love seeing what you have to share!
Niky, Looks like you are having a great weekend. Love your morning time with Evie – so special. It’s also so wonderful for the others to get caught up on their sleep so they are ready for the day ahead. The splash pad looks like wonderful fun! Thanks so much for hosting your Sundays on Silverado each week. It’s a great place to “party”. Have a wonderful Father’s Day! – Patty
It looks like Evie had a “grand” time.
THANK YOU for featuring my Green Bean, Tomato, Feta Pasta Salad! Love all kinds of different salads to keep in the fridge in the summer! Hope you like my 2 family-favorite patriotic recipes I posted today! And thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us!
Thanks for hosting today. Hope you have a wonderful Father’s Day with your adorable family!!
It sounds like your squash aren’t being pollinated, Niky. You can try doing it yourself with a cotton swab. I’ve done it and it works!
Thanks for the advice, Ann. I will check into how to do that!
