Life Lately

Hello friends.

First, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the kind messages and comments last week. I appreciate them more than you know. ❤️

I’m here today to get this link party posted for you all, but again, it’s a simplified version.

I attended the funeral on Friday of a very dear friend of nearly 20 years, and for now, I just need some time to find my bearings again after these past very difficult weeks.

I do have so many things to share with you, happy things amidst the difficult, because that’s how life works, right?

Last weekend, our youngest son graduated from college, and our sweet tiny dancer had her first recital. I hope I am feeling up to sharing some pics with you next week.

Until then, wishing you peace and blessings.

  1. Sending healing thoughts for you and sympathy on the loss of your friend. These things seem to come all at once.
Last week visited a friend in hospice – fell on the way home and shattered my wrist. Plates, screws, and as you know – nothing to do but rest and heal. Sending prayers for better days ahead.

  2. Niky – You are in my prayers and you grieve and also as you heal from your second hip replacement. I’m glad you had some special thing to attend for your son and granddaughter this week. With the hip, your friend’s funeral and the happy things, your emotions must be swirling with ups and downs. I hope your good memories with your friend will be foremost in your mind in time, but I’m glad you are taking the time and space to grieve. Sending warm thoughts and prayers. – Patty

  3. What a fun surprise to visit and see our “Cooking with Kids” post featured. Thank you, Niky! You’ve been through so much in the past few weeks… I hope and pray that the coming week brings you continued strength and peace! 💕
