Life Lately
My husband recently surprised me with this Ninja Creami.
Pre and post-surgery, I’m supposed to be increasing my protein intake. This has been pretty hard for me, because I’m not much of a meat eater. At a minimum, I’m supposed to get 100 grams of protein per day, and when I started counting it, I realized I’ve been nowhere close to that much.

I’ve seen many recipes that are made with protein shakes and powders, so we thought this might be a way to include more protein.
However, I also don’t drink cow’s milk and only use plant-based milks.
We’ve tried a couple of recipes with almond milk and my favorite Naked Protein Powders, and they’ve been pretty good. But if you have a Ninja Creami and have some excellent recipes to share, I’d love to hear them!
In Case You Missed It…
It was a busy week here on Silverado.
Monday I shared my Prime Purchases for the month, and Friday I shared my home as part of the Spring Home Tours that included 25 different home decor bloggers over the course of the week. If you need some spring inspiration, I hope you’ll check out both posts.

St. Patrick’s Day
Do you have plans for St. Patrick’s Day?
For years, I spent most of my St. Pat’s Days in Washington D.C. with 200 middle schoolers in tow on a spring break trip. That was a whole different kind of celebration. ☘️
These days, we tend to do things more quietly. 😊
But I still like to set a pretty table, and you just can’t go wrong with a chocolate cake filled with Baileys Irish Cream!

It is amazing how much protein helps in the healing process. I hope this helps get those grams in for you Niky!
Thank you so much, Cara!
Thanks for hosting Niky! Love seeing those babies each week, they are precious! Have a fabulous week! Creatively, Beth
Thanks for hosting the party – I appreciate your time. Now I’m off to go check out some of those posts!
Thank you so very much for the amazing feature! Have a beautiful day!
I hope things get better. I can’t eat beef anymore and can’t drink cow’s milk. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
I’m also supposed to increase protein intake (and am lactose intolerant), so bought a big can of vanilla non-dairy protein powder (@ Walmart & one of the least expensive protein powders). I just put some in with unsweetened vanilla almond or oatmilk, in the blender ~ with a frozen banana… and it tastes like a banana milkshake! Sometimes I’ll add some squirts of dark chocolate syrup ~ or some frozen strawberries or mango chunks. Really good!
What a great idea, Cindy. Thanks for the tip!
The Ninja looks super. I make a protein drink each morning for breakfast from Orgain Protein powder, almond milk and berries. Thanks so much for sharing my Rabbit Cloche, this week! Have a great Sunday!
That sounds delicious!
Thanks for hosting and enjoy your week!
Shelley
