Sundays on Silverado #180

Hayden at 2 weeks

Life Lately

Hello, friends!

Just popping on for a minute to update the link party so you can still share your fabulous links for the week.

I know a lot of the country was walloped by some impressive winter storms this week, and Iowa was no exception! We got over 20 inches of snow in two major storms just a couple of days apart. The second one included high winds, and sub-zero temps that have had us under a blizzard warning for the past couple of days.

I already had plans to visit for a few days this week to help out with Evie and the new baby, and my stay has been extended a bit longer than planned because of this weather. All of the roads leading home are marked “travel not advised”, so the only thing left to do is cozy up and snuggle these babies for another day or so. 😍

I’ll try to catch up later this week with extra features, so go ahead and link up as usual. Hope you are all staying warm!

PS. Please be sure you’re following The House on Silverado on Instagram so that I can tag all features in my weekly Sundays on Silverado IG Story. Plus, you might catch some extra sneak peeks of the sweeties on IG as well!

  1. Your grandbabies are SO sweet Niky! Stay warm and hope you can get home safely when the weather is better. We were hit hard in WA State this week too, six days at home without leaving the house. Winco was a real treat today haha! Thank you for hosting! Hugs xx Tanya

    1. I made it home several days later than planned, and now I’m headed back again Monday. Hopefully, the weather will be more cooperative. We also didn’t leave the house for several days! Makes you appreciate those grocery runs. 🙂

  2. Hi Niky,
Those grandbabies are absolutely precious! We have been without power for 36 hours and I am just now getting to the party. It was like being at a Winter Camp Out inside your own home. Enjoy those babies, they grow up fast! Thanks so much for the party and have a great week!

  3. Thanks for hosting a great party. Hope your week is starting off well. Now off I go to visit some of the other posts!

  4. Niky, How nice to get “snowed in” with the grandchildren. Hayden and Evie are adorable!! love the picture of Evie looking at her mom. You captured Evie’s love for her mom in her eyes! Her mom will treasure that photo! Have a wonderful time while you are visiting and a safe trip home. – Patty

  5. Hi Niky, Super super cute babies – enjoy the time with them.

  6. Based on your Bed in a Box mattress post, I ordered the exact same one. We absolutely love it! I worried that it might not be firm enough for my husband, but he’s happy. No complaints. Thank you

    1. Hi Sandra! I’m so glad to hear the new mattress is working out for both you and yoru husband, too! I was thrilled to find a great mattress without the hassel of shopping in the store for it. Win-Win! Thanks for stopping by.
