Sundays on Silverado #18

Life Lately…

One Day Early

Yes, Sundays on Silverado is coming to you on Saturday this week, but for good reason! Tomorrow is the newest installment of the DIY Blog Hop! Several other bloggers and I will be sharing posts all about lighting. Look for that at 6:00 am tomorrow!

Christmas Decorating

I worked all of last weekend to get most of my Christmas decor out. I was exhausted when I was done, but now I’m enjoying it so much. Here’s a glimpse, but you can see all the details tomorrow in my post for the monthly DIY Blog Hop. I hope you’ll pop back to check it out!

Still Working from Home

I’m working from home for at least one more week. It’s nice not to have to pack my coffee in a travel mug and haul it to school with me. My coffee break at home entails hot coffee, fresh from the pot. And one day this week, a slice of this delish treat….

It’s a copycat version of Starbucks Ginger Loaf. Watch for it on the blog later this week. 🎄☕️

In Case You Missed It!

I upcycled some of my old Christmas bulbs that didn’t work with my decor into these “mercury glass” look-a-likes. You can see how in THIS post.

I used some more of the leftover turkey from Thanksgiving that we stored in the freezer to make this delicious and creamy soup. It works just as well with leftover chicken, or even rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, to whip up a quick and comforting weeknight meal.

The Weekly Features!

Wow, you guys knocked it out of the park this week with your link-ups! There were so many great ones I couldn’t choose just three! All features have been pinned to the Sundays on Silverado Pinterest Board!

White Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge | Cook–Clean–then–Repeat

When I was a child, we used to spend Christmas Day at my grandmother’s house in southern Iowa. She would always set out a giant tray of all the homemade candies and treats she made. There were peanut clusters, peanut brittle, divinity, and all kinds of different fudge varieties.

Do any of you still do that anymore? Somewhere along the way, that tradition slipped away in my family, but this peanut butter fudge reminded me of my grandmother and all those Christmases spent at her house. ❤️🎄

Scandinavian Village Scrap Wood Houses | Interior Frugalista

I love taking old scrap wood and turning it into something new, so this sweet little village that Marie made caught my attention right away. I did something similar with my Scrap Moulding Christmas Trees.

Christmas Farm Table Vignette | Common Ground

Debra’s table vignette is adorable! I’d love to pick this up and transplant it right into my house!

Vintage Sewing Machine Base into Plant Stand | Birdz of a Feather

This transformation of an old sewing machine into a plant stand is stunning! I love everything about this.

Blue & White Bedroom| Dabbling & Decorating

This blue and white bedroom is so beautiful and “fresh”. You know that feeling you get after Christmas, when you want all the Christmas decor to magically go away, and you’re itching to brighten up and refresh your whole house for the new year? That’s what looking at this bedroom reminds me of. 😂 Thanks for sharing, Ann! You’re providing inspiration for January already!

Time to link-up again, friends! I can’t wait to see all of your creativity…

I’d love it if you’d subscribe to my blog, or follow me on social media. 💕
