Life Lately
Hooray for football season! We thoroughly enjoyed week one with two fun football celebrations.
Some of our kids are Chiefs fans and some are Bears fans, and we got to enjoy both games last week with family gatherings.
The Chiefs played in the NFL season opener last Thursday night, and 4 of the kids had tickets to the game. My husband and I drove down to Kansas City with them and got a room at the same hotel.
The kids all went off to enjoy tailgating and the game, and we got to stay back and have fun with our sweet Evie girl.
They all had a great time at the game (even though the Chiefs lost), but I think we got the better end of the deal hanging with Evelynn.

We took her to dinner, swam in the hotel pool, and then played in the room watching part of the game on TV until Evie snuggled up on the bed and fell asleep. ❤️

Then, on Sunday, we had our Bears-loving family over to watch the game on the TV on the screened porch and eat brats and nachos. Unfortunately, the Bears also lost, but it was still a great Fall day to enjoy food, family, and football.
Next weekend, the Bears and the Chiefs play each other, so we are hoping to have a fun family watch party!
