Sundays on Silverado #162

Smiley Nordic Ware pan

Life Lately

I got lucky finding this like-new Nordic Ware pan at a thrift store for $5. It was fun to use it to make little smiley-face pancakes for Evelynn. I made an entire batch and put some in the freezer for easy rewarming the next time she’s here for breakfast.

I also found three Nordic Ware donut pans that look brand new for $4.49 each. Apple Cider Donuts will be happening soon!

The Weekly Features!

Are you all feeling the fall vibes yet? It’s been soooo hot here in Iowa still. Like scorching hot. But apparently, cooler temps are coming soon, so in the meantime I’m loving all the fall posts to get me prepared. 🙂

  1. I bet Evelynn loved those pancakes! So fun, and what a great find. I have been on the lookout for Nordic Ware myself. Thank you for hosting Niky, hope you are having a wonderful week!

  2. Love the smiley faces ! Such fun! Yes, I put out our Fall decorations, but it is still 80 degrees and humid. Can’t wait for the cool, crisp weather. Thanks for all your great ideas – have a wonderful week. (Isn’t it fun NOT to be in school ?!?!?)

  3. The little donut pans are fun, but you NEED to get the Wilton giant donut cake pans! I think they’re about $10 on eBay. My grandkids love cakes made like giant donuts! .. Also, look at the Halloween Spider Cookies I posted today ~ they’re really a “kids” project that your granddaughter can do with you!

  4. It is still very hot where I live, too, Niki. I hope cooler weather is coming soon. /we can all use a break from the heat. Thanks so much for the feature for the “Fall Entryway”. It’s fun to pull out all the Fall decor and start transforming the space in Autumn colors. The Smiley Pan is great. Have a wonderful week.
