Sundays on Silverado #146

Life Lately

I had a wonderful Mother’s Day last Sunday. The kids and Baby Evie were here, and we also had my MIL over for dinner on Saturday night. We had such a good time, I failed to take any pictures. I can’t believe I didn’t take one single pic with my kids on Mother’s Day!

I always get so caught up in enjoying myself that I forget to snap photos, and then later I’m disappointed. Anyone else?

The kids are all back again this weekend, so I will attempt a “do-over”.

I did get a pic of the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie I baked though, and the cute little kitchen towel from Evie.

In Case You Missed It…

This post about how to set up an automatic watering system for your plants was featured on Hometalk this week.

This is my third summer using this same Raindrip set that I paid around 30 bucks for, and it still works great!

It’s so nice to know my herb garden will get watered regularly, even when I’m not home.

Plus, when the scorching hot summer days arrive in July and August, I can program it to water more than once per day, and then I’m not out there lugging water buckets a couple of times a day!

  1. It sounds like you guys had such an amazing celebration, Niky! I get caught up in the moment and forget to take pictures all the time too. It’s definitely a delicate balance between being fully present and wanting to document the moment. I’m excited you’ll have a redo. Big hugs and thank you for hosting, CoCo
