Life Lately
We headed out to Utah for a few days to finally take youngest son, Kyle, on his graduation trip. It got held up a couple of years by COVID and then us wanting to stick closer to home last January after Evie’s birth, so it was nice to make it happen finally.

We had a late flight, and then picked up our rental. We booked a regular old “full-sized car”, so when we checked in at the rental counter, the lady told us to head to the parking garage and “pick any car in row 1”.
We walked along the row… Camry, Honda, Toyota…. Dodge Charger GT.
The kid’s eyes lit up. Literally. As you can see…. we ended up with the Charger. 😂

We checked into our cozy villa pretty late. Bonus #2 of the first night– surprise upgrade. We had booked a “1 bedroom residence”, and ended up with a “Premiere 1 bedroom suite”.
We should have stopped for a lottery ticket.
We were tired by this time, and ready for sleep, but the nighttime views from our balcony were lovely.

After some rest, we were up with the sunrise, grabbed some breakfast, and it was time for the slopes.

I met up with the more advanced skiers for lunch after I did a little moseying through the shops.
Day 1 was beautiful, but by late afternoon the temps were dropping and snow was beginning to fall. We shall see what tomorrow brings.
Stay tuned…
