Sundays on Silverado #126

Life Lately

We had the most wonderful Christmas.

We got to have all 4 kids with their significant others, our sweet grandbaby, and my mother-in-law all here on Christmas Day. Some were here for breakfast, and some for dinner, with a little overlap in between.

My husband cooked us a delicious beef tenderloin for dinner.

There was lots of Buffalo Plaid… 😜

And lots and lots of baby time.

Is there anything better than the holidays with the people you love the most?

I got this little red rocker for my 1st birthday in December of 1969. Now, here’s our sweet grandbaby sitting in it 50-some years later. ❤️

In Case You Missed It…

I shared my Top Ten posts of 2022. It was a full and busy year here at The House on Silverado.

I’m still working with Dixie Belle Paints, and now also as a Hometalk Ambassador.

I’m excited to see where 2023 leads.

Sneak Peek

My son and his girlfriend recently moved into a beautiful new townhome. Courtesy of Boutique Rugs, I was able to help them with a little makeover in their living room.

I can’t wait to share the reveal with you in the next few days, but here’s a cute little pic of their kitties coming out to check the progress.

Can you believe this is the last link party of 2022?

  1. Happy New Year, Niky! I hope you’ve had a great first week back. I love that you guys are passing down the chair! Thanks so much for hosting and for giving us all a fun place to hang out and share our best. Big hugs, CoCo

  2. I love how your granddaughter is sitting in your rocking chair from your childhood. So sweet. Looks like you had a wonderful Christmas. Happy New Year!

  3. I used your recipe for tomato soup in my link #111. It was great and has become a staple at our house. Evie looks like she had a wonderful Christmas which makes everyone’s Christmas wonderful. Happy and healthy 2023.

  4. Your Christmas looked lovely Niky. Ours was pretty quiet and low key. The new grandbaby wasn’t ready to be out in the cold and so much RSV and flu around, so we missed seeing them all. Thanks for hosting and have a blessed and wonderful New Year!
