Life Lately
Goodbye Garden
The cold weather is here, including some snow already. On the night before the first snow arrived, we picked everything that was left, and tore out the rest, putting the garden to bed for the winter. I was surprised at how much we ended up with in this last haul to freeze for winter use.

Soup Weather
The cold weather makes me want soup, so I put this Creamy Tortellini & Sausage Soup in the slow cooker last Sunday. It made enough for leftovers for work as well, so that was a bonus, since my husband and I worked late almost every night last week. π

Sweet Treat of the Week
This week on the blog I shared these decadent Maple Pecan Pie Bars. With the slight maple flavor, these make a fabulous fall treat, and would be great for a Thanksgiving dessert, too.

Anniversary Celebration
The one night we didn’t work late was the night we celebrated our anniversary, with a romantic dinner in front of the fireplace. If you missed that post, you can catch it HERE.

Hand Stamped Vintage Silver Spoons
In honor of our anniversary, I used some of my inherited silver spoons to make this special craft.

That’s our week in a nutshell. With so many late nights at work between the two of us, there wasn’t much going on besides falling into bed and watching a little bit of The Great British Bake Off. With all the chaos in the world right now, I need a little light viewing, how about you?
I’d love to hear your suggestions for what to watch next!
