Our miracle girl is 9 months old this week. Isn’t she precious?
She’s making such progress and is such a happy, sweet, smiley baby.
Even though school started this week, we managed to squeeze in lots of family time. We made a trip last weekend to visit Baby Evie, we helped my son and his girlfriend get moved into a new townhome, and we drove to Iowa City to deliver this custom nightstand I made for the youngest son’s college apartment.
Edit: You can now see the finished project HERE. The kid loved it, and so did all his roommates. Success!
Even though the days are still hot here in Iowa, the mornings are cooling off. I enjoyed watching this lone Trumpeter swan on the pond while I drank my Sunday morning coffee.

The Weekly Features!
I love a good upcycle or furniture makeover, and there were some fabulous ones shares this week.
This antique radio cabinet makeover from Interior Frugalista is so classic. I love how she painted the interior shelving while leaving the beautiful wood tones on the outside.
Check out these DIY jute vases filled with hydrangeas from Pure Happy Home.
Who would have thought that an old ashtray stand could turn into something so lovely? The Apple Street Cottage, that’s who.
This outdoor chandelier upcycle from Sonata Home Design is so pretty. Trying to figure out where I could put something like this at my house now. 🙂
