One year ago today, my beautiful daughter married her perfect match. It was some much needed “happy”, following a year that had been painfully difficult after the death of my mom.
Just a couple of months after her wedding, we were dealt more pain, with the loss of my dad. And then, just 6 weeks later, a world-wide pandemic.
Now, with the stress of a chaotic election just hours away, and COVID numbers running at record highs, I need to dwell in some “happy” right now. So, if that applies to you too, please join me in looking at these beautiful wedding pictures, as I wish the happiest of anniversaries to two of my favorite people. 💕

Honeymoon Time!

Happy Anniversary to two of my favorite people. So proud of all that you have accomplished together. Wishing you many, many more years of health, happiness and love. I’m so blessed to get to call you both my “kids” now.
XOXO, Mama 💕

What a lovely break from all the chaos on the world right now! These photos are so beautiful and the love and joy abounds so clearly in them. I really love that Cassidy wore your pin on her wedding day. I still have a daisy pin that my mother wore on her wedding coat. I wore it on my hat when I hat when I got married. I just love these throw back tributes to the people who made us! Thanks so much for sharing this special day with us and linking with me. And a very happy anniversary to the bride and groom!

Hi, Niky! So happy you found our Ten Things of Thankful blog hop! I hope you will be able to visit the other posts and become a regular with us (need some more midwesterners here)! Your daughter’s wedding was just gorgeous. What a beautiful anniversary tribute!
Thank you so much, Dyanne. I will certainly stop by again!
Looking at family photos, and especially wedding photos, is a great diversion from the many things people are facing now. Glad you linked up to TToT.
Niky, that was fun! Nice to see a happy occasion and a slice of life before the pandemic!
Turning towards happiness is something we all need to do. We cannot be unrealistic and ignore what is happening around us BUT we can choose to look at the happy. The Bride and Groom look very happy and in love. <3
Thanks for linking up with the Ten Things of Thankful blog hop! (www.tenthingsofthankful.blogspot.com) A wedding, and the lovely memories of the event, are certainly things to be thankful for!
PS: My Mother also passed away a few months before our daughter’s wedding, so I know how sad that is. She was going to turn 90 a few months after the wedding so I had planned on a birthday cake for her at the reception since all the family was gathered together from far. It was so sad to have her miss these occasions, but she did not suffer and we knew she was in heaven looking done on us all that day.
I’m sorry to hear this, Pat. I do believe my mom was there too, and watching all the events unfold at her first granddaughter’s wedding. I’d love to know what she thought about it all.
What a beautiful wedding! It all looks so joyous. Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness.
Wedding pictures are never a bad idea. I hope they have a wonderful anniversary! #MMBC
