Silver and gold Christmas decor adds a beautiful warm glow to your home for the holidays.
Welcome to this year’s Holiday Home Tour, where I’m teaming up with THIRTY of my talented friends to give you a peek at our homes all decorated for Christmas! Join us every day this week to see a few more.

If you’re stopping by from Pink Peppermint Design, I’m so glad you found your way here! Doesn’t Tammy have such beautiful Christmas decor?
Silver and Gold Christmas Decor
The Living Room
We’ve got a busy holiday season this year, even busier than normal, with a new grandbaby coming right around Christmas, and a surgery for me in January.
As a result, we didn’t put up as much holiday decor as normal, but of course, some things just had to go up.
I must admit that I have a pretty big Christmas stash, probably too much. But what I love is that I can use it to switch up the look of my trees from year to year.
I went with a silver and gold theme for the first time on the main level of the house, and we’ve been enjoying the pretty warm glow.

This is a fairly big tree– 9 feet plus the height of the star, so it takes quite a few ornaments to decorate it. For the sake of keeping it simple, we just went with ribbons and bulbs in various sizes.
It’s a pre-lit tree, but we wanted even more lights, so we always add an additional 5 strands in varying sizes to get the best twinkle.
The twinkle is a must, even when keeping things simple, right?

Since we didn’t put out the garland and stockings this year, golden holiday art on the Frame TV adds to the seasonal glow. I bought this collection of 20 holiday art on Etsy and I alternate amongst them. They are all so pretty!

I got this rustic-looking cloche at the KC West Bottoms a few years ago. I created this simple winter vignette using nothing but some bottle brush trees and a string of fairy lights.

I had to put out my favorite Willow Tree Nativity because it’s so special to us. My husband got it for my birthday two years ago. When Evelynn Irene was born, and so very sick in the NICU, my husband brought it to me to open early while we prayed for a miracle.
It’s the first thing I put out each year around Evie’s birthday because it reminds me of how blessed we are to have her in our lives.

The Dining Area
I created this silver and gold tablescape for last week’s Pinterest Challenge. I left it up so we can enjoy some dinners by candlelight this season.

These taper candles are battery-operated and on a timer, so they come on automatically each evening as soon as the sun goes down. They’re one of my favorite Amazon purchases of the year!

The Family Room
In the lower level family room, I went with a “Santa’s Workshop” theme. This is typically where we open gifts with the family, so it was fun to create a tree to celebrate the joy of Christmas through the eyes of young children again.

Again, because of this year’s circumstances, I kept it simple with just ribbon and my mom’s vintage red glass bulbs. Circling the tree with vintage toys that were mine and my children’s adds to the nostalgia.
Next, I hope you will visit Christy over at Our Southern Home to see her gorgeous family room decorated for the holidays.

So beautiful! Congrats on the new baby! I’m a Christmas Eve birthday. Thinking of you on your upcoming surgery. Your TV area is gorgeous. Our frame tv is being installed on Monday. Will be ordering the art you recommended, So pretty!
Thank you so much, Christy! I’m so excited for you and your Frame TV. My husband was skeptical and thought it was “just a TV” and he even loves it now!
Your home is so inviting and festive! Enjoy the season and all it offers!
What a pretty, welcoming and festive home Niky. You already know I love your table centerpiece but the trees and mantel look great too. I’ve not seen the Willow Tree nativity scene before. It’s fantastic! I only have a couple of those pieces but love them. Last but not least, the view outside looks like a winter wonderland. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas! Enjoyed your tour.
Thank you so much, Cindy, for stopping by! You’re always so kind. Happy holidays, friend. :-)

I love the centerpiece decoration on your table. Simple and elegant!
P.S. I am an Iowa girl too!
I love your tree; it looks so pretty with all those silver and gold baubles, and it matches your tablescape perfectly. You have such a pretty nativity too and wonderful memories attached to it. Ours was handed down from my parents-in-law, and I love setting it up each year. Happy Christmas, and thanks for the tour!
Niky I love all of your gorgeous touches! Particularly the rustic cloche paired with that wonderful wolf painting.
Your silver and gold decorations are so elegant, Niky! And I’m loving your Santa’s workshop tree downstairs. Wishing you and your family a merry Christmas! Simply yours, AnnMarie & Anne
