Prime Purchases: October 2022

How is it October already? I’m so unprepared!

We took a vacation last week to celebrate our anniversary, and between school starting and getting all the details finalized for our trip, October really snuck up on me!

But, since it’s the first Tuesday of October, I’m linking up with Tanya to share our monthly Amazon Prime finds!

My Prime Finds for the Month

Columbia Women’s Pardon My Trench Rain Jacket

I bought this awesome Columbia raincoat for two purposes. One, to take on our recent vacation to New England, but luck was on our side and we barely had any rain! But, reason number two that I bought it was because I am assigned outside duty in the morning before school, directing parent drop-off traffic. Rain or shine, I’m out there, so I have no doubt this coat will still get some use. 🙃

I like that it’s a bit longer on me, and comes down to mid-thigh. It also has a great hood.

Crossbody Sling Bag

The bag I bought for our trip is no longer available, but this one is almost exactly the same. I loved this bag for traveling, because it tucks up nice and close in the front, for easy access to me, but not for anyone else to sneek into it from behind. Also, unlike my other crossbody bags that sit on the hip, it didn’t annoy me when walking. Great bag!

Halloween Ribbon Wired ,6 Rolls Orange and Black

I’m running a little late on this project, but I still intend to get a Halloween ribbon wreath made, similar to my DIY Ribbon and Burlap Wreath that is so popular on Pinterest.

Isn’t this Halloween ribbon so cute?

O’Keeffe’s Lip Repair Night Treatment Lip Balm

My lips get so dry they peel and crack. I bought this lip repair treatment to use at night, and the EOS lip treatment below for during the day. So far, they seem to be helping! If anyone has any other tried and true remedies, I’d love to hear them!

Wooden Bead Lanyard for ID Badge

I had this same lanyard for my school ID badge for a couple of years. Sadly, I accidentally caught it on something, and all the beads went everywhere. It was nice and sturdy for a long time though, and it was my fault that it broke. I loved it so much that I promptly replaced it. I have the natural wood beads with the “pink zebra” accents, but it comes in lots of color options.

That’s it! What have you been Priming lately? I’d love to hear about it in the comments if you want to share!

  1. The only thing I use on my lips is aquaphor. I work for a dermatologist and it is most recommended over anything because there are not many ingredients, so patients are more likely not allergic to anything. A little goes a long way!

  2. Love the lanyard. Someone else in the link up listed it as a purchase too. Thanks so much for linking up with Prime Purchases! Tanya – The Other Side of the Road
