Welcome to the October edition of Prime Purchases. Between our Hello Fresh deliveries, and our Amazon Prime deliveries, we’ve been putting our delivery drivers to work! I will definitely have to recreate the Holiday Treat Basket for Our Delivery Drivers again this Christmas. We appreciate them more than they know.
What I’ve Been Priming Lately…
For years now, I’ve been getting my nails done at the salon about every 3 weeks. My nails have always been fairly soft, and if I don’t keep polish on them, they break easily. I liked the strength that powder dip manicures gave them.
Unfortunately, then came COVID, and the salons closed up! I had to figure out a new plan, and this Aimeili Gel Polish is it! Even though the salons in my area are now open, I’m not going back anytime soon. This is cheaper, easier, and is still keeping my nails looking pretty good.
AIMEILI Soak Off UV LED Gel Nail Polish – Gardenia Jasminoides Ellis
This very soft pink color is what I’ve been wearing all summer. It’s the perfect pink neutral.
AIMEILI Soak Off UV LED Gel Nail Polish – Cashmere Kind of Gal
Now that it’s fall, I wanted some darker colors. I just odered this gray, and the mauve one below. I can’t wait for them to arrive, so I can test them out!

AIMEILI Gel Nail Polish No Wipe Top and Base Coat Set
Gel polish requires a base coat, and a top coat. I usually do 2 coats of color in between. This is the set I have.
Gel UV Nail Lamp for Gel Nail Polish Professional Salon Curing Lamp with 4 Timer Setting
I have this UV Lamp and it works great. Plus, it’s so nice to have dry nails when I’m all done and don’t have to worry about smudging them.
I bought this dark grey buffalo plaid rug, and the mini white pumpkins for my front porch, along with the fairy lights and the flameless candles. You can see how I used them all for my Cozy Fall Front Porch design.
Mini White Faux Pumpkins–12 pcs
6-Pack Battery Operated String Lights with Timer, Warm White
Slack/Trousers Pants Hangers – 20 Pack
I have a lot of crafting ribbon, especially after making my DIY Ribbon & Burlap Wreath, and DIY Rustic Garland recently. I was looking for a way to store them, when I came across these hangers. They are meant for hanging pants (and I may try them out for that, too!), but they work great for sliding the hole in the ribbon spool over the long, open base and hanging up in the closet in my office. I can get several rolls of ribbon on each one!
Graphite Transfer Paper – 9″ x 13″ – 25 Sheets – Waxed Carbon Paper for Tracing
For years, I’ve been using my tried-and-true pencil shading method for transfering lettering onto something, but I thought I’d give these a try. They were cheap, so if I don’t like them, no big deal.
Sharpie Oil-Based Paint Marker, Medium Point, Black Ink, Pack of 3
I bought these to create the cute little Rae Dunn Inspired sign I made for my Fall Tiered Tray.
Emeril Big Easy Bold Single-Serve Keurig K-Cup Pods, Dark Roast Coffee, 48 Count
I rarely find a better deal for K-cups elsewhere. Amazon is my go-to place for coffee delivery to keep us stocked up.
Wilton Petite Loaf Baking Cups, White
I bought a package of these to use on my Mini Pumpkin Loaves (recipe coming your way tomorrow!), and they turned out so cute! I got the brown ones, but I’m not seeing those in stock right now.
And finally, I bought this cute little “cookie” that is supposed to keep your brown sugar from drying out. We’re heading into heavy-duty baking season, and there’s nothing worse than opening up the brown sugar and finding all those hard-as-a-rock clumps in it. I keep my brown sugar in this container from OXO, but sometimes it still isn’t as moist as I want it to be. I’m hoping this will do the trick!
Okay, what have you been “Priming” lately? Drop me a comment and tell me about the good stuff! 😄
