Prime Purchases–May 2020

The days, weeks, and even the months during this pandemic continue to blend together in such a way that time has become very abstract for me. But, I am pretty sure that it’s MAY now, and even though I’ve missed the first Tuesday, which is when I typically do my Prime Purchases post, it’s only Thursday right now, so that’s close enough in my book.

Recent Prime Purchases

Magnolia Table: Volume 2

This the purchase I was so excited to get this month! I love, love, love Joanna’s first Magnolia Table Cookbook, so I knew this one would also be amazing. My children gave me the first one for Mother’s Day 2018, and I’ve cooked my way through a good share of the recipes in it. I can’t wait to get started making some of the beauties in this new one! I’ve already sticky-noted several that are at the top of my list!

My children gave me Joanna’s home decorating book for Mother’s Day 2019 (do they know me, or what?). If you love Joanna’s cookbooks, you should also check this book out. Homebody: A Guide to Creating Spaces You Never Want to Leave.

Garden Gifts by Precious Moments Believe With Red Bird Ceramic Hanging Bell Windchime

I purchased this wind chime to place at my parents’ grave. I love the symbolism of the red cardinals. I see them often in my yard and at my bird feeder, and they always make me think about my mom and dad.

Patchwork Damask Woven Rug, 8×10

I have a smaller version of this rug in our screen porch already, in front of the fireplace. But the chairs to our outdoor dining table are really starting to mar the cedar plank floor, so I decided to order a bigger version of this rug to place underneath the table and chairs and protect the floor a bit more.

Since it’s not “essential”, it’s taking awhile for shipping, even though it’s prime eligible. I ordered it last week, and right now it’s supposed to arrive next Tuesday. I’ll show you once I get it in place!

Transparent Plastic Grid Box Storage Organizer

I ordered this to sort and organize the letters for my Farmhouse Letter Board that my daughter got me for Christmas. This organizer makes it so easy to find the letters quickly when I’m creating a new message.

Raincoast Crisp Crackers

These crackers are our absolute favorites for charcuterie trays. I’ve only ever been able to find them at HomeGoods (which isn’t open right now), or Whole Foods. Pre-pandemic, I’d often make a trip to Whole Foods just to stock up on these crackers. Yes, they are that good.

But, since we are limiting the places we go right now, I didn’t want to do that, so I was happy to find them on Amazon.

Bamboo Bathtub Caddy

During this extended time at home, when many things we normally do are off-limits right now, I’m trying to focus on simple pleasures. For me, taking a bath is one of those things that is simple, but feels luxurious. Especially with a few extras to make it special.

I already own this bathtub caddy, and I love it! It’s perfect to hold a glass of wine, a book, and a candle.

Recently, I added these Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salts. They make such a difference for sore, tired muscles and for me, even seem to ease away stress.

I also have this Spa Bath Pillow. I’m telling you, I’m serious about my baths. 😂

My only shopping for 2 months now has been online with delivery or curbside pick up. I miss the days where I could get a Starbucks and stroll leisurely through the aisles of a real store, just browsing. I know those days will come again, but for now, I am certainly grateful that Amazon and other retailers offer these services to keep us safe and still help us get this things we need.

  1. Looks like you got some good things! Thanks so much for linking up with me at my #UnlimitedMonthlyLinkParty 12, open May 1 to 26. All party entries shared if social media buttons installed.

  2. I think those letter boards are so cute but I know myself well enough to know I’d never take the time to change them out. We used that same plastic organizer for all my boys’ loom bands when it was all the craze and it was great to keep them contained.
