Welcome to another dramatic installment of Prime Purchases! I’m again linking up with Tanya from The Other Side of the Road to share what fabulous Amazon finds we ordered up this month.
It’s been a busy and exhausting few weeks around here at The House on Silverado. February and March is always a hectic time at work for me, as I have several big “projects” culminating. Plus, it’s a busy time at home because our youngest son plays high school basketball, and March is state tourney time! This year, those two things ended up being smack dab on top of each other, with the state title championship game scheduled on the night before I have to wake up at 2:00am to head out on a school trip with more than 150 middle-schoolers. Pray for me. No, really. 🤪
Thank goodness for Amazon Prime. Ain’t nobody got time for shopping right now! I read an article that said in the near future, Amazon will be able to deliver a package via drone in as little as 30 minutes. Yes, please. 🙋🏼♀️
This month, Prime has supplied some fun things that I’ve purchased for decorating around the house, but also several pantry and personal items that saved me a trip to the store when they ran low. That’s one of my favorite things about Prime— I notice we’re almost out of something, and I just grab my phone, order it up, and “ding-dong”, two days later it’s on my doorstep. Brilliant.
And now, without further ado….
You guys, I’m in love with this tray. It’s so cute, and rustic, and versatile. So far, I’ve styled it for St. Patty’s Day on my kitchen island, but I’m already thinking ahead to future ways to dress it up. In fact, I’ve got a whole board on Pinterest just for tiered trays! Tiered trays are a thing now, didn’t you know?
I already had a set of 8 faux tulips, but white on white is one of my favorite color schemes for decorating, so one set just wasn’t cutting it. I used the ones I already had in my St. Patrick’s Day Vignette on my entryway table, and needed more for another project. So when I saw this set of 20 pieces on Amazon for only $15.99 I ordered them right up! That’s a deal. And you guys, they look so real. Totally worth the 16 bucks. And, they come in a ton of different colors, so if white’s not your thing, they’ve got you covered.
This gray and white Buffalo plaid table runner is on my kitchen table right now. One thing I don’t understand about Amazon is how they price their items, which seem to fluctuate a lot. Maybe supply and demand? I’m not sure, but what I do know is that right now, as I’m writing this, this table runner is only $8.99. Yes, $8.99, which is considerably less than I paid not long ago. So if you’re in the market for a gray and white buffalo plaid runner, act fast!
Watkins Gourmet Baking Vanilla
Last summer, we visited the Watkins Spices headquarters in little ol’ Winona Minnesota when went there on a weekend getaway. The B&B we stayed in used to be owned by Maude Alexander, the stepdaughter of J.R. Watkins. In that house, she wrote most of the recipes for the cookbooks that were used to market Watkins products back in the early 1900s.
Even before our visit, I’ve had a preference for Watkins Vanilla. I think it has a better, more natural vanilla flavor than other brands I’ve tried.
DōJoe for Kamado Joe Grill/Smoker
We’ve made pizza on the grill twice now using this new toy that my husband got. You can read my post about the first time we used it HERE. I forsee a lot of pizzas in our future with this thing. Two thumbs up. 👍🏻👍🏻
Wagners Deluxe Blend Bird Seed
The birds seem happy with this food that I bought for the first time last month and shared in February’s Prime Purchases. It’s just about gone, so I ordered up a second bag. Still hoping to catch some great bird photos with my new lens. We moved the feeder closer to the house now, so we shall see…
Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara .30 Ounce (Full Size)
I’ve used this mascara for about 3 years now, and have never found anything better. It lifts and separates my lashes instead of making them clumpy, and lasts all day long without giving me raccoon eyes. Seriously the best. I’ve strayed a couple times and tried something else, but keep going back to this one. I usually buy it at Sephora, but when I don’t have time for a trip to the mall, Amazon to the rescue.
We have Fire Sticks on all of our televisions, because we don’t have cable. We use Netflix, Prime TV, and Hulu. One of our televisions had an older version of the Fire Stick that was kind of slow, and my hubby finally got irritated with it and bought a new version to replace it. 😂
I also love Fire Stick for the ability to take it with us when we travel and watch our favorite shows when we return to our hotel room at night.
PBfit All-Natural Organic Peanut Butter Powder
Sometimes I buy this at Costco, but it’s about the same price on Amazon. We use it in our protein shakes. Chocolate protein powder plus a scoop of this is almost like a Reese’s PB Cup without the fat and calories! It’s good mixed in to oatmeal, too.
OxiClean White Revive Laundry Whitener + Stain Remover Power Paks
I reorder these over and over again, they work so well. We have one of those washers where you pour in the detergent and it automatically dispenses the right amount each time, so using a liquid bleach or whitener is kind of a pain. These little pods are perfect, though. Whenever I do a load of whites, I just pop one of these in, and put my washer on the cycle for “whites”. Everything comes out so bright and white without fail!
That’s it! Don’t forget to drop me a note in the comments and tell me what you’re “Priming” this month! I might need to try it for myself!

Great items: I purchased a Podcasting Mic which I am Raffling off tomorrow in my Podcasting Workshop.
#TrafficJamWeekend
I can’t imagine how many drones there would have to be out there for Amazon to make even a small fraction of their deliveries! I am so guilty of keeping them busy. LOL
I absolutely love making pizzas on the grill! I just use some foil over the grill grates and keep the heat low, but I’m intrigued by that tool/gadget you have. And how did I not know that you could take your Fire stick with you when you travel?!?
Great finds. We can’t live without our firestick since we cut the cable cord a few years ago. I think I have the same tiered tray too! Thanks for linking up.
Thanks for hosting, Tanya. It’s a fun link-up!
