I’m linking up with Tanya again for our monthly great Amazon Prime finds! Scroll down to check them all out, especially the Nancy Tillman books, which I’m obsessed with right now!
If you have children to buy Christmas gifts for this year, this is the post for you, because what better gift is there than a book? Especially a book that speaks right to your heart.
You can read all about the many books I bought as a baby shower gift for my daughter/grandbaby, and see the custom bookcase I made to put them on in THIS POST.

My Great Amazon Prime Finds for the Month
A while back, I was shopping for baby shower gifts and happened to come across On the Night You Were Born. After fighting back tears as I read it in the store, I set off on a mission to find alllllll the Nancy Tillman books for my grandbaby-on-the-way.
Fortunately, Amazon came to the rescue with several titles, and most were in board book format, which is perfect for the smallest of “readers”.
On the night you were born, the moon smiled with such wonder that the stars peeked in to see you and the night wind whispered, “Life will never be the same.”
Because there had never been anyone like you… ever in the world. So enchanted with you were the wind and the rain, that they whispered the sound of your wonderful name.
Wherever You Are, My Love Will Find You
. . . I wanted you more than you’ll ever know,
so I sent love to follow wherever you go. . . .
I’d Know You Anywhere, My Love
‘Twas the Night Before Christmas
In addition to the Nancy Tillman books, this one was on my daughter’s Amazon baby shower registry. Since it was my favorite book as a child, of course, I had to buy it. 🙂
Vintage Peel & Stick Peony Wallpaper
This peel & stick wallpaper is precious, has a beautiful texture, is easy to apply, and is perfect for a baby girl’s nursery. I used it in the back of the bookcase I made to hold all of Poppy’s new books.
I ordered this paper towel holder and the lovely monogrammed paper towels below to place in the guest bath during the baby shower. These would be perfect for the holidays when you have a lot of guests and don’t want everyone using the same towel over and over. Blech….
Monogrammed Guest Bath Paper Towels
The schoolhouse pendant lights over our kitchen island are my favorite fixtures in the house. These Edison bulbs make them even prettier. It’s so much cheaper to buy them on Amazon than any I’ve ever found in the store.
Neosporin Lip Health Overnight Renewal Therapy
I’ve been using this lip cream for years, and highly recommend it. My lips can get really dry in the winter, to the point that they crack and bleed. I tried so many different chapsticks before finding this cream, and it was such a game-changer. I keep this on my nightstand and smooth it on liberally before going to bed at night. It has made such a difference. I never let myself run out!
Last year I decided kind of late in the season that I wanted some lighted deer for the yard, but by then, everywhere was already sold out!
This year, I planned ahead, and we already have our little deer family purchased and waiting in the garage. Lesson learned–buy Christmas decor early! Remember the story of my Christmas tree drama last year?
I can’t wait to get them set up!
Scentsicles Christmas Tree Scent Sticks
I bought these last year on a whim, and loved them! They are slim, green sticks that come with little hooks, so you can hide them back inside the limbs of your artificial Christmas tree, to make your whole room smell like you have a real balsam fir!
I loved it so much, I bought a few more in various scents for all of our Christmas trees this year. Well worth the 6 or 7 bucks!
That’s it! What have you been Priming lately? I’d love to hear about it in the comments if you want to share!

I’d be so grateful if you’d support The House on Silverado by subscribing via email in the box on this page, and following on social media. 💕

We have been contemplating an artificial tree, and those scented sticks are genius! I’m all in for an artificial tree’s lack of cleanup/allergies, but I would miss that Christmasy smell! 🙂
I totally agree, Jess! I love the pine smell too! These sticks are so good that we went back and bought more to use in some of our smaller trees too!
Great choices – Thanks for sharing at My Big Fat Menopausal Life’s Share the Wealth Party. Have a fabulous weekend. See you again after the 15th!
You found some really beautiful books to give for gifts! Pinned.
The books are just precious. I bet you are counting the days til your grandchild arrives! Thanks so much for linking up!
