Simple ideas for displaying seashells. Great for showing off your collection or just bringing a beachy vibe to your home decor.
After I took down my July 4th decor, I decided to replace it with a little beachy, coastal display since we were so looking forward to our “do-over” sun and sand vacay that didn’t happen in March (stink eye to you, Delta Airlines).

I am partnering with the Dixie Belle Paint Company for this post. Paint and transfers were generously provided to me by Dixie Belle, but all ideas and creations are my own.
I’d been looking for a reason to use Dixie Belle Paint’s beautiful Sea Glass Chalk Mineral Paint, and when I saw this little wood tray at Dollar Tree, I knew it would be the perfect way to display seashells from vacation.

I gave it a quick sand, and then a couple of coats of that beautiful beachy blue/green paint.

If you love coastal or nautical decor, then Dixie Belle’s Nautical Life Transfers are perfect for you!
This bundle is filled with various anchors, lighthouses, compass roses and more!
For my little seashell display tray, I selected a beachy blue compass rose that was a good size and color match for my tray, and just rubbed in right on using the enclosed burnishing stick.
It was so easy.

More Coastal Decor from Dollar Tree
Until I can add my own vacation seashells, I filled in my coastal display with these adorable beachy finds from Dollar Tree.

They had a nice selection of beach-themed items this year, and even though prices are $1.25 now, I still thought all of these items below were great deals.
I finished off my display with this Farmhouse Sign and a coastal candle. My candle came from Dollar General, but I’ve linked a few adorable coastal candles below that would be great in this display.

More Ideas for Displaying Seashells
- Display seashells in a jar–especially a vintage blue glass canning jar like THIS one. It’s the perfect color for a beachy display!
- Make a photo frame by gluing small seashells around it, and use it to display a vacation photo. HERE are some examples of my upcycled frames.
- Glue seashells around a vase or flower pot, and fill it with faux seagrass.
- THIS fillable coastal accent lamp.
- THIS seashell display container.
There are so many fun and beautiful ways to incorporate your vacation memories into your home decor. Coastal-inspired displays make wonderful summer home decor, especially if you’re dreaming of the beach.
