Easy Orange Blossom Cocktail

The arrival of warm weather (finally) makes me want alllllllll the fruity cocktails. This Easy Orange Blossom Cocktail is so easy—only THREE ingredients—yet so good. You can whip one up and be relaxing with it in your hand in a matter of minutes!

My hubby is the mixologist in the family, but right now I’m working from home, and he’s still going in to work at the hospital everyday. So once in a awhile, especially after he’s had a particularly busy or stressful day (and as you can imagine, there have been many of those lately), I like to greet him with a cocktail when he arrives home.

This is a recent concoction that only takes 3 simple ingredients, so I was able to prepare it in a flash and have it waiting for him.

How to Make an Easy Orange Blossom Cocktail

Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice is a MUST!

The fresh squeezed OJ is what makes this easy Orange Blossom Cocktail! Sure, you could make it with OJ from a carton, but it just wouldn’t be the same. I think I squeezed 3 oranges to get enough for 2 good-sized cocktails. Squeeze the oranges—you won’t be sorry.

The Easiest Garnish Ever

Usually, I like to dress my drinks up with a fancier garnish, but this drink is all about simplicity, so the garnish is simple too.

Since you’re squeezing those fresh oranges, you’ll have orange peel handy. For the garnish, carefully cut a thin slice of peel from around the orange, trying to keep it intact for as long as you can.

Then, carefully scrape all the white pith from the back of the peel.

After the pith is gone, cut two long and thin strips. Then tie each one into a loose knot.

To Make the Cocktail

Measure your THREE ingredients into a shaker with ice (gin, fresh OJ, and Cointreau). Shake until combined.

Pour into two rocks glasses filled with fresh ice. I would have used our big round ice balls, but we had to take them out of the freezer because of the extra food we’re storing right now…because you know, PANDEMIC. So for now, I just used regular cubes.

Lay your orange peel knot gently on top of your cocktail, and you’re done!

Take them outside and enjoy the summer weather. We have all earned it, right?

These are the ice cube molds we have and use often, when we have room in the freezer that is.

Professional Citrus Juicer

This is the juicer we have and use when we need to juice a lot of citrus… for margaritas for example. It makes the job so easy and prevents your hand from tiring out. Plus, it looks pretty cool sitting on your bar. 😂

Manual Juicer

This is the manual juicer I use for smaller jobs, like this cocktail that only requires squeezing 2 or 3 oranges. I like it because it’s metal, so it is strong and durable. I replaced a plastic one that broke with this much better one.
