Welcome to the first Pinterest Challenge of the year, as usual, hosted by Cindy from County Road 407. This month’s challenge has us all creating delicious recipes for the big game!
If you’re stopping by from Our Southern Home, doesn’t Christy’s chili look amazing? I can’t wait to try her recipe!
This is the dip for all the dill pickle lovers out there! With a cream cheese base and plenty of dill flavor, this delicious tangy dip is perfect for tailgating, or serving on your game day party table.
This creamy dill pickle dip is made with simple ingredients that you may already have on hand.
I used dill pickles we had in our fridge: Grillo’s pickles from Costco, and a small bag of OH SNAP! Just use whatever kind of pickles you prefer. I love making homemade refrigerator pickles in the summer, so I plan to try this recipe again when my cucumbers are ready.
If you like a bit more heat to your dip, try using some spicy dill pickles, or add a bit of your favorite hot sauce. There’s lots of room to customize with this dip.
Dried dill weed is fine, but you could also use fresh dill for an even brighter flavor.
Also, feel free to switch up your sour cream and cream cheese for either the light or the full-fat versions; this dip is great either way!
Creamy Dill Pickle Dip Recipe
- 1 cup finely diced dill pickles
- 1 tablespoons dill weed
- 2 tablespoons worchestershire sauce
- 8 ounces of cream cheese (1 block)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
Add an extra tablespoon or two of pickle juice if you prefer a thinner consistency.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to blend flavors before serving
Assembling the dip couldn’t be easier; just mix all the ingredients together until smooth. I used my stand mixer, but you could also mix by hand if you prefer.
Top the finished dip with a few extra chopped pickles and a sprinkle of dill weed, before letting it chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes or so. If you’re in a hurry, it’s fine to serve immediately, but a little time in the fridge helps bring all the flavors together even more.
I served this dip with some multi-grain crackers and some pretzel slims for Trader Joe’s, but there are so many great options that would work well for this creamy dip:
- pretzles or pretzel thins
- tortilla chips or corn chips
- pita chips
- carrots & celery sticks
- even whole dill pickle spears if you’re a super dill pickle fan! No judgment at all…

Who are you cheering for? We have both Bears and Chiefs fans in our family, but since the Bears have failed us dismally yet again, we will be cheering for Mahomes over here.
Next, I hope you’ll pop over to see Michelle at Thistle Key Lane and check out her Buffalo Chicken Sliders recipe. Buffalo Chicken is a favorite of mine, so this recipe is definitely on my list to try.
