My favorite tiered tray is back again, this time decked out as a tiered tray for Christmas. Most of my holiday decor this year falls into what I’m calling “Rustic Woodland”.
I’ve decorated with mostly neutral colors with pops of red, and embellished with elements reminscent of a woodland forest–lots of greenery, red berries, and cardinals mixed in.
I wanted my tiered tray to have that same vibe.

How to Make A Tiered Tray for Christmas
The bright red cardinals are the stars of this show. They are actually a salt & pepper set that I got for 50% off at Hobby Lobby. I love how they work here in this tray, but I may also use them as actual s/p shakers for a table setting at some point. I love things that serve more than one purpose.

The mini houses remind me of a little Christmas village. The houses and cupcake pedestals also came from Hobby Lobby, and get reused in many of my tiered tray designs.

The snow-dusted mini potted plants are yet another Hobby Lobby find, and were intended to be place card holders for a table setting. I just pulled the little rings for the table cards right now, and now they work perfectly for this tiered tray.
To add a little more of the red pop of color, I wrapped a little bit of buffalo check ribbon around each one.
I like the muted, natural colors, with just a few splashes of red. It works so well with the rest of my holiday home decor.

The mini wood “Peace” sign adds the finishing farmhouse touch.

Those red cardinals are adorable, Niky!!! I love that woodland theme…it’s so pretty for Christmas and into winter!
Thank you, Rachel. I’m partial to red cardinals. ❤️
I love this. I love the added touch with the red Cardinals.
Beautiful tray and I really like all of the items you used on it. I just love tiered trays and should really buy or make one for my own home. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing again this week. #HomeMattersParty
What a beautiful tiered tray for the holidays, Niky! There is something very nostalgic about tiered trays that I love. I don’t have one, but I should add a tiered tray to my wish list. Thanks for sharing and linking with me!

I love it. It looks so pretty. And I love that you haven’t gone overboard with the dashes of red. They are just right. Thanks for sharing this at our #HomeMattersParty
Thanks so much, Kimberly!
Your tiered tray is just the cutest.
I too like the muted colors with just a splash of red but it seems like I go overboard each year. Then I don’t like it. Then I see something like you did and could kick myself for doing it. Then I swear next year will be different. Then it’s not. :/ Love your tiered tray. Can you believe I still don’t have one. Yours makes me want one. Thank you for linking up at the Farmhouse Friday Link Party. Hope you have the bestest Friday!
Haha, the struggle is real! I kept wanting to do “all white and ivory” some year, because my home is decorated in all neutral colors, but most of my favorite and sentimental Christmas decor has reds in it, and when I think of not setting it out, I get sad. I’m thinking maybe next year I will decorate the basement family room (where the pool table, bar, and giant TV is) in reds, and do my upstairs in whites. We shall see what happens!
Anyway, thanks for your kind comments. I adore ALL of your decor, so I think you’ve made NO mistakes!

I love the tiered tray idea for decorations.
Gorgeous tiered tray decorated for Christmas. I love your combination of natural winter elements. I would use this all winter with a few changes after Christmas.
Merry Christmas,
Kippi
I needed a few more ideas to complete my tiered tray. Now I have them, so thanks for the inspiration!
