A Simple Easter Vignette

Easter is approaching, and because of the current Coronavirus situation, I haven’t really felt much like getting out all of my decorations like I normally would. This situation has ensured that we won’t be able to hold our typical big family dinner like we traditionally do, so decorating in full force just seems kind of pointless. I miss my people. 💔

However, because we are practicing social distancing and not leaving our home except for groceries every week or two, I decided it would be nice to have just a couple of simple Easter decorations out to brighten our spirits and serve as a reminder that even though I’m feeling anxious and helpless, God is still in charge.

I first made some of these brown paper covered books for my Valentine’s Vignette, and I made some more for this vignette. In the midst of all the chaos, worry, fear and sorrow happening in our world right now, I wanted a message that reminded me of the power that God has to work miracles. I need that message right now.

For my print this time, I used these little stamps that I found a few weeks ago in the Target Dollar Spot. The ink pads I already had in my crafting supplies.

I love the message on these handcrafted books, as well as how they add some height to my vintage milk glass hobnail bowl from the 1950s that I used to hold some speckled pastel Easter eggs.

Because I’m practicing social distancing and not leaving the house unnecessarily, I didn’t buy anything new for this vignette. I used things I already had, or made myself.

If you want to create something similar, Amazon may be able to help you shop responsibly while still staying home. I know they are focusing on delivering essential supplies first right now, so delivery may take a bit longer.

  1. Your vignette is lovely, Niky, and I think we all need to be reminded that the Lord is in control… and He already has this completed! Hope we get to see you at Tuesday Turn About this week! We close tomorrow at 12amCST!

  2. What a lovely Easter vignette! Not that it isn’t nice to get something new now and again, but it’s also nice to be able to use what you already have! I love milk glass and stamped books as well:) Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm. Pinned! xo Kathleen

  3. Enjoyed your vignette; my favorite was the milk glass bowl as I am a MG addict. But then I saw your verse from Psalms! It should be pasted on the inside of my eyelids!
