DIY Thrift Store Farmhouse Sign Makeover | The House on Silverado
I’m getting things started with this farmhouse-style spring sign that I repurposed from a sign I found at a thrift store.
I love thrift store shopping because it’s so easy to find great items for only a buck or two!
And even if you don’t love them in their original form, it’s fun to reimagine them and give them new life.

Vintage Stool Makeover | Vintage Home
I might have squealed just a little bit when I saw this antique piano stool makeover from Michele at Vintage Home.
Last spring, I acquired two very old antique chairs for an amazing price. But,one of the chairs needs some extensive repairs to the seat.
I’ve been dragging my feet trying to figure out what I want to do to fix it, so when I saw Michele’s beautiful makeover of her great-grandmother’s piano stool, I was thrilled!
I love everything about this upcycle–the distressed and painted wood, the antique tack nails, the grain sack fabric.
I especially love that it was a family piece that will be enjoyed for many more years now.
Thanks Michele, for putting me on the right track. I’m definitely going to try something similar on my chairs.
