Copper Table Setting

This year’s Copper Table Setting might be my favorite Thanksgiving tablescape yet.

And it was so simple and economical to put together!

With some copper paint, you can transform outdated seasonal decor, and add beautiful copper accents to your table setting in a flash.

—->You can see how I gave all my outdated fall decor a coppery makeover in THIS POST.<—-

Copper Table Setting Centerpiece

An old, orange wooden pumpkin became this stunning copper centerpiece for my Thanksgiving table by simply spraying it with a can of Rustoleum’s Hammered Copper Spray paint.

The little bit of coppery sheen gives my table such a warm, fall glow. It looks so pretty with my creamy, ivory tablecloth and napkins.

DIY Copper Leaf Napkin Rings

I bought these two packs of wooden leaves with little clothespins on the back at Dollar Tree.

Some copper and gold craft paint and I had them ready in no time.

Crystal and Candlelight

Two sets of crystal candlesticks, one from my grandmother and one from my mother-in-law, create a contrasting sparkle next to all the copper.

I had planned to buy a set of silver or gold chargers at Dollar Tree and then use my handy-dandy can of Rustoleum to turn them copper, but when I got to Dollar Tree, they had copper-colored chargers!

Not only were they already this pretty shade of copper, but they also have this lovely beaded edge detail. For $1 each, I was able to buy a set of 12 to fill my whole table.

It seems like Dollar Tree always has the gold or silver chargers in stock, so if you can’t find the copper ones, just grab another color and give them all a light coating of copper spray paint. Easy-peasy!

Set against simple white plates with ivory-colored napkins, creates a simple and elegant fall table.

All of these small pumpkins in various shapes used to be a variety of colors also. I used copper and rose gold craft paint to easily update them with more fashionable fall colors.

My centerpiece is a wooden pumpkin, but you can paint any type of outdated seasonal decor you have in your house (or go thrift store shopping to find something).

An old multi-colored turkey centerpiece that you’re not a fan of any more? Paint it!

Gords, candlesticks, chargers, napkin rings… anything that is not going to be in direct contact with your food can be painted.

You can paint plastic, foam, wood, metal, or resin decor easily with this Rustoleum paint that includes a primer. You can even paint real pumpkins like I did for my outdoor pumpkins this year!

Oh, and check out the wine we will be serving with our dinner this year!

Copper Table Setting

No, I don’t have my own vineyard (one can dream though, right?). 😋

We first had this wine when my husband and I dined at Le Cellier in Disney’s Epcot during our 50th Birthday Trip.

We noticed the name of the wine and just had to try it.

When we came home, I tracked down a few bottles of red, but this is the first time we’ll be trying the white.

You can read about our dinner at Le Cellier in THIS POST that includes the recipe for Maple Bourbon Brussels Sprouts, which incidentally we are also serving for our Thanksgiving feast.

We had the Maple Bourbon Brussels at this same restaurant and loved them so much, we created a copycat version of them to make at home.

They turned out so good, that everyone gobbles them up at all of our holiday dinners now. If you need a good veggie side dish for your Thanksgiving dinner, the Maple Bourbon Brussels Sprouts are a good one!
