Simple Vintage Patriotic Decor

Creating simple vintage patriotic decor displays for your home can be as easy as pulling together items you already have. You can even mix and match your authentic antique and vintage treasures with fun holiday items from places like Hobby Lobby or Dollar Tree.

Simple Vintage Patriotic Decor--flags in a crock

This display in our screened porch mixes family treasures, with antique/estate sale finds, and Hobby Lobby purchases, too.

  • The red child’s chair was my dad’s when he was little ❤️
  • I got the crock at an estate sale last weekend for only $10, and the flag made from a vintage spool came from our trip to KC’s West Bottoms
  • The rustic wooden house was a clearance find from Hobby Lobby–only $2!

I added a vintage flag garland that was my mom’s to the fireplace mantel, and it all comes together for a fun and patriotic display. The screened porch is one of our favorite places to relax, so I like having seasonal decor out here to enjoy.

It didn’t take much to swap out this display that I originally made for my Spring Kitchen Tour, and turn it into a patriotic vignette. I just removed the spring tulips and replaced them with mini flags. They work perfectly with the vintage milk glass vases that I got for just 10 cents each at a garage sale, and the ironstone tureen that was $3 at a thrift store. Displayed on my upcycled Lazy Susan, and it makes a simple vintage patriotic centerpiece.

And finally, I added some flags to my Antique Beadboard Corner Cabinet to give it a simple vintage patriotic decor update. The white cabinet with the white vintage china is the perfect backdrop to make the red, white, and blue pop.

Wishing you a happy Fourth of July,
