Welcome to Sundays on Silverado #41!
It was such a nice week around here at The House on Silverado.
We made a visit to the Pella Tulip Festival, and enjoyed a day filled with stunning tulip displays, history, crafts, and of course, amazing Dutch treats. We got enough Dutch Letters to send some home with all the kids, and still have a couple left to enjoy with our coffee. ☕️ (My Dutch Letter Bars Recipe is inspired by these special Dutch treats from Pella.)
It was a beautiful Mothers Day spent with my family. My husband made breakfast, and later the kids and my mother-in-law all came over. My sweet husband mixed cocktails for us, and arranged a delicious lunch.
I bought a cute flower made of spoons while we were in Pella, and took it out to the cemetery for my mom. 🌺
Isn’t this quacamole bowl that my mother-in-law gave me adorable? I can’t wait to mix up some guac for Happy Hour at Home.
I made the pies for our Mothers Day dessert– Rhubarb Raspberry, which I’ll share soon, and Lemon Cream, which I posted earlier this week.
Fog Over the Pasture
We’ve had several absolutely beautiful weather days lately. I took these pictures of morning fog over the pasture one day this week. Nature is such a mood-booster, don’t you think?

I love this rock wall shared by Marie. We have a boulder retaining wall in our yard, and I’ve been brainstorming about how to add some plants in and around it. I already have my mom’s Hens & Chicks there, and they’ve multiplied and filled in so much! Marie’s wall gives me some more ideas.

This upcylced birch slice tray is so cute! I love anything with a rustic, nature-y vibe to it!

I have a rocking chair almost just like this that is going to get a makeover this summer. My mom gave it to me about 10 years or so ago, because it was the chair she rocked me in as an infant. I love this idea of a monogram.

Lisa’s book cover reminds me so much of the Vintage Embroidered Flour Sack Towels I inherited. Her book is such a creative use of similar towels you might find in a thrift store or antique mall.
