It’s Super Bowl weekend, and this year above all others, we need some super easy recipes for the big game!
In our current state of reality, ain’t none of us got time for complicated recipes with a lot of steps or ingredients. I don’t know about you, but lately, I’m looking for all things easy.
Today, I’ve got you covered with several super easy recipes for appetizers, snacks and cocktails that come together quickly, so you can spend more time enjoying the big game, and less time preparing for it! 🏈 (Go Chiefs!)
Cheese fondue with lots of “dippers” is a super easy way to put together a spread that the whole family will love! This simple beer bread recipe makes the perfect dipper, but other great ideas include cut up smoked sausage, pretzels, various veggies and potatoes…
This is as simple as putting together an easy cheese sauce. See my recipe for Classic Cheese Fondue below. I have both THIS electric fondue pot, and also THIS one that uses gel fuel, but you could put this in a small crockpot on low heat if you don’t own a fonude pot.
Classic Cheese Fondue Recipe
- fondue pot
- 1 pound cheese
- 1 cup dry white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc
- 1 clove garlic finely minced
- 1 TBSP lemon juice freshly squeezed
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- ⅛ tsp nutmeg
- Grate all of the cheeses on a cheese grater, or in a food processor.
- In a large saucepan, bring the wine, garlic, and lemon juice to a simmer over medium-low heat. Add the cheeses to the simmering liquid a little at a time, stirring well between each addition. Once smooth, stir in the mustard, and nutmeg.
- Carefully pour the fondue into a fondue pot or even a small crockpot on low heat.
- Serve with fondue forks or wooden skewers and a variety of "dippers".
- Dipper Ideas:Lightly steamed broccoli or cauliflower florets, lightly steamed asparagus, button mushrooms wiped clean and stems removed, cherry tomatoes, sliced apples such as Granny Smith, cooked sliced sausage, boiled baby new potatoes with the skin on, cubed bread such as French, sourdough, pumpernickel or homemade Beer Bread.
You can never go wrong with a good charcuterie tray. The options are limitless and there’s no cooking involved! If you’re looking to make your game day super easy, charcuterie is the way to go. No recipe involved!
This dip has become a family favorite. We make it frequently, sometimes even for an easy dinner when we need a night in front of the TV. Serve it with corn or tortilla chips, and carrot sticks (for a healthy option) as dippers.
This is just like a reuben sandwhich in dip form, especially if you serve it with some Rye Triscut crackers.
Chips and salsa is a classic, but you can take it up a notch by making fresh salsa. I love making it when tomatoes are in season from my garden, but even grocery store tomatoes taste great in this fresh salsa, which beats jarred salsa any day.
Guacamole is easily one of our favorite dips around here. This version is inspired by one that was made table-side for us on a Mexican vacation a couple of years ago.
You can never go wrong with pizza, but this twist on classic pizza is a fun way to mix things up. Cut it in small wedges or squares and serve it appetizer-style for the big game!
Make these using leftover pulled pork, or pre-made pulled pork from the grocery store. Add some King’s Hawaiian slider buns, and top it off with a little coleslaw and you’re done! It doesn’t get much easier than that! Plus, this post contains a bonus recipe for Peach Mojitos. You’re welcome. 🤣
I made these flatbreads on mini naan breads, which makes them perfectly appetizer-sized. The roasted tomatoes are the star here, though. They are slightly charred, with a concentrated tomato-y flavor.
Whenver we (used to) go out to dinner, we always order Brussels Sprouts if they have it on the menu as an appetizer. We’ve tried a lot of Brussels apps, but this one from Le Cellier in Disney World is still one of our very favorites. Since having it there last year, we’ve now made it at home many, many times over. The kids love it, too!
This is the perfect little appetizer platter. These fritters are crispy and flavorful, and the creamy dip just puts them over the top.

My husband makes the best margaritas. No really, I’m serious–they are the best. Since I posted this recipe, I’ve had many people tell me it’s now their favorite, too.
My favorite margarita is my husband’s fresh lime marg on the rocks, but once in awhile, a frozen margarita hits the spot, particularly a strawberry one. This one is sweet and tart at the same time.

The combo of milk chocolate and toffee with a rich shortbread crust is insanely delish. This might be one of my very favorite bar desserts.
