It’s time again to join in with Tanya and several other bloggers to share what we’ve been Priming. With this being the month that included a lot of Christmas shopping, my list is pretty long!
This month’s purchases include many things that were Christmas and birthday gifts (we have several bithdays around the holidays, too), because y’all know how much I love online shopping, even during a normal year. During pandemic Christmas, it was a literal lifesaver for the holidays. I did every single bit of my shopping online.
I am in love with this white furry table runner. We bought it to use underneath our little Christmas village houses, but I think I will use it as an actual table runner, too!
We have several houses that were mine, given to me by my mom years ago, and several that my husband’s mom gave him, too. We combined them this year into a cute little village scene that stretches across the top of our lower level fireplace. I didn’t like those packages of fake, fluffy snow that you typically see under Christmas villages, so I bought this instead. It’s much more tidy, and works perfectly to showcase the village! Plus, it can do double-duty as a winter table runner, too!
This was my husband’s Christmas gift from me. He got me an Apple watch for my birthday a couple of years ago, be he’s not an “Apple Guy”, and wanted this Garmin watch instead. He uses it for biking, and working out. He’s only had it a short while, but really likes it already.
This was a birthday gift (along with the Dr. Teal’s below) for my son’s hardworking girlfriend. She had this on her Amazon Wish List and I knew right away I was buying it for her. I have a similar one (in white) and I think it’s the perfect way to relax and unwind.
This was a gift for my son. He said his other pillows were “flat as hell”. 😂 After he’d had a chance to sleep on these the first night, he said he had the best night of sleep he could remember!
There was a lot of cooking and baking happening at my house during the holidays. A lot. I have another really cute pink apron that I love to wear, but decided I needed an apron just for the holidays. Isn’t this one adorable? It got a workout last month. It’s probably as tired as I am. 😂
Homemade cannoli is on my list of things to try making in the near future. I haven’t had a good cannoli in years, and no place that we’ve tried buying them from have been any good. So what’s a girl to do? Make them herself. Stay tuned.
I love that my “kids” had so much cooking gear on their Wish Lists this year. 💕 They are all turning into such great chefs. I wasn’t half as good as they are when I was their age. So proud of them all. All of the kitchen items below were requests from the kids that mama was happy to fulfill.
My son and his girlfriend have two sweet little cats. This door mat was from their list.
I couldn’t resist adding a little gift for the cats to my shopping list. The videos of them playing with it were so cute. 🤪
I have a vintage book collection started for my someday grandkids. When this book was published, I couldn’t resist. It will be vintage someday, right?
And finally, coffee. There was a lot of coffee consumed at The House on Silverado this past month. More than you can even imagine. Amazon is my go-to for k-cups, and they did not disappoint with the holiday blends this year. I ordered enough of this one to drink well past the holidays, because it’s that good.
What have you been Priming lately? I’d love for you to share some of your great finds in the comments!
PS. I’d be so grateful if you’d follow me on social media and subscribe via email using the box on this page! Then you won’t miss a thing from The House on Silverado.
