I’m feeling the fall vibes, friends, how about you? Last weekend, I was sucked in by a beautiful display of pumpkins at a farm down the road from our house.
I wasn’t really planning to go “full-on pumpkin” just yet, but I couldn’t resist these lovelies in so many beautiful shapes, sizes and colors.
Before I knew it, I had a trunk full of pumpkins and mums, plus a Pumpkin Spiced Latte in hand. C’est la vie.
The cold and wet weather we’d had all last week finally let up, and Sunday was absolutely gorgeous. I spent the whole day outside, planting my mums and working on some projects for my fall front porch. I hope to share it with you later this week!
While I was brainstorming my design plans for my fall porch, I popped onto Amazon to order up a couple of things I needed to make my vision come to life. While I was looking, I couldn’t believe all the cute fall decor that I saw!
I exercised some restraint and only ordered a couple of things I needed for the porch, but I thought I’d share with you some of the things I loved (or that I already own) that might help you in your fall decorating. 🍁🍂🌻
White or muted colored pumpkins are my thing, because I prefer decorating in neutral tones. But whatever kind/color pumpkin is your jam, Amazon has ’em. All shapes, textures, patterns… The white and buffalo plaid are adorable! All the little sizes would be great on a Tiered Tray design. Just sayin’…
I’m maybe a tiny bit embarassed to tell you how many of these mercury class and hand blown glass pumpkins I have. Let’s just say it’s more than a few. 😬
My glass pumpkins are all various shades of white, gray or mercury glass, but they come in traditional oranges, and a wide variety of other colors also, to complement whatever your style is!
Look how beautiful this one is!
I have a tobacco basket almost just like this one, but never thought of adding pumpkins and greenery to it. This ready-made one from Amazon inspired me to dress up the one I have!
A cozy blanket is a must for fall, and this cable knit sweater blanket with sherpa on one side is stylish and soft. I have one almost just like this, and it’s perfect for a comfy night in front of the TV.
Is there anything better than a fall-scented candle burning on a chilly evening? I have this farmhouse version, but the “hello, fall” one is on my wish list!
I have these all over my house, screened porch, and front porch. Literally. I own two of this exact set, plus a few more other odds and ends flameless candles. Since they have a timer and a remote, you can set them to come on as the sun fades in the evening, and your home instantly and effortlessly has a cozy glow. They shut themselves off after 4 or 6 hours (you choose). I love how you can have them all over without the worry of unattended real candles.
I have a collection of lanterns similar to this that we used at our wedding. I place my flameless candles inside, and put them on the front porch, screened porch and in front of the fireplace. I have them out all year long, but love them especially in the fall. I dress mine up with seasonal bows and because the candles I use in them are flameless, you can fill the inside with mini pumpkins or pine cones or whatever you like, with no worry of it being a fire hazard! These are so versatile.
I own two full sets of these fairy lights, too. (Can you tell how much I love cozy lighting?) They are perfect tucked up inside glass pumpkins, under greenery, or even inside your lanterns instead of a candle for a change of pace. They also have a timer, so they come on/off automatically.
Seasonal Pillow Covers
Seasonal pillow covers are one of my favorite things! I can change out pillows seasonally for my porch swing, my deck, and even my family room with just a quick zip! Plus, by reusing the same 4 pillow inserts, I don’t have to find a place to store a ton of bulky throw pillows! Brilliant.
I have a beautiful monogrammed door mat that I bought last year, but I ordered this buffalo plaid mat to layer with it for my fall porch. I got the dark gray instead of the black, because I think it will work better with my colors. The black is pictured here, but there are a variety of colors available on the link.
This “Hello Pumpkin” door mat would look so cute layered over the buffalo plaid rug!
I love decorating at this time of year, and making our home comfy and cozy as we head into the seasons that will have us tucked away inside more.
I always get such inspiration from other people’s homes. If you’ve started your fall decorating too, I’d love it if you’d link up some pics in this week’s Sundays on Silverado so we can all see them!
